New review: 5 to 1 start.Favourite Italian place in the region is no more. New management and team just isn’t the same. This place has been changing their menu every couple months since the first manager left, almost two years ago. It was still bearable with but this ‘final’ menu that the server said they have officially settled on is the worse. They’ve gotten rid of a lot of delicious and standout dishes about this restaurant.Friends and our household always come to this restaurant a couple times a month and it has been going downhill each time. Tonight though was the worst. Server didn’t know what was in the dishes as it just changed a couple days ago, and like the other reviewers have said, the dishes not only aren’t as tasty, they’re smaller and overpriced now. Also, asked for dessert that was on their chalkboard (which all the dishes expect for the desserts were easered due to the menu change) but unfortunately they didn’t carry those items anymore either and all the stuff on the menu, they sold out, was told to come back next week for their dessert....cool.October 2016: Was a 5 star place.Veloce is delicious! The service is always great and the food - best Italian place in the area. Their stone fired oven just makes the pizza taste like no others around!The manager is always very nice and greets us after our meal whenever he can! Please do try their salads, the walnut and goat cheese one is just yum yum yum! Highly recommend Veloce!

Food was served very fast (only seemed like 10 minutes after ordering), and our server was very attentive and polite. He let us switch tables as the one we were seated at originally was quite wobbly and would have gotten rather obnoxious once we got our food. Absolutely delicious pizza here - definitely thicker crust than what you would find at a place like Famoso, but the Sicilian I tried here at Veloce was just about as tasty! On our visit I also noticed that they offer takeout as well as sit-down service. I didn't see any mention of this on their website, but I'm glad that I know about that now. Will definitely be back!

Every bite of everything we ate was delectable. The food tasted very authentic and fresh. Excellent service and atmosphere. We arrived without a reservation on a Saturday and were accommodated. One drawback was the shock when the bill came. For only two of us with an appetizer, two entrees, and one alcoholic beverage the bill was $120. A nice place to go for a date that is nicer than the everyday chain restaurant. Overall would definitely recommend for good Italian food, if you’re willing to spend a bit more.

I went in for spin dip a couple weeks ago and thought it was the best I've had in years. It was especially cheesy and the amount of spinach was generous, and the tortillas it was served with were a unique touch.Every time I eat at Veloce, the food is excellent quality and delicious, and there are always plenty of vegetarian options, with the staff has always been happy to make substitutions when possible for my dietary preferences.

My favourite restaurant in town has got all new staff and management. I was all for the new change and menu when I first walked In! After recieving our 2 salads and brucetta (which now has no tomatoes on it), I will NEVER go back again and that pains me to say for a restuarant I felt so highly of. I ordered the ceasar salad as I always do, this time the bacon bits came out raw. I have attached pictures to justify why I felt this way as management informed me that it was indeed cooked. The new squash salad looked phenomenal on paper, very sad when you see it. I have served my whole life so I completly understand how things change and how mistakes happen. It's the way the 2 staff members (one being the new manager") handled the situation that made me never ever want to go back again. Very rude

Went there for Halloween dinner and had a great experience! The menu had just changed the day before, the staff took time to provide guidance on the new offerings and made recommendations I took and was glad to have done so! Meat platter is great as appetizer, almost not enough for two and could use more bread but great cheese options. Had the roast pork pizza, very tasty even a little on the spicy side. I’ll come again!

Not overly impressed here. I wanted gnocchi for my birthday dinner, booked a reservation at Veloce for myself and 7 friends... only to find out after ordering apps and drinks that they don’t actually serve gnocchi and haven’t in a while. Pretty disappointing since it’s still on the menu.Our server was brand new, first day on the job and he did a decent job considering, but he did make a few mistakes (ordered tomato basil sauce and received bolognese sauce, disappeared for a while when we were ready to pay, etc.).. not his fault, he told us a few times it was his first shift.The food here was pretty good. Highlight was the arancini, it is delicious! We were asked if we wanted Parmesan cheese on our pasta, but instead of grating it onto our food we were given a shaker of powdered cheese on the table.. thought that was kind of weird for an “Italian kitchen”.. even Eastside Mario’s offers freshly grated Parmesan.The ambience is ok, but the music needs improvement. Weird remixes of top 40 songs, in slow jazz style. Not our cup of tea.I wanted to like Veloce but we all agreed our experience did not live up to our expectations.

First time visitor and really enjoyed it. Was seated quickly, drink order was taken quickly and the food showed up quickly.The Hostess was nice and the Waiter was great. Ordered my food without Mushrooms, he made a joke about extra mushrooms when he brought me the food. Friendly touch!Food was excellent. I shall return!
