We found ourselves needing a kennel last minute and they were happy to help. Organized, very clean and sanitized kennels. Our dog was well taken care of and content until we could pick him up. I would recommend for sure.

This kennel needs to be shut down!!! Do not support this business. They let a perfectly healthy great Dane starve to death and deprived the dog of water! The dog was here for 11 days and in those 11 days he died right before the owners picked him up. Absolutely disgusting behavior. Avoid this so called 'business'

Our young bunny just spent the last 3 weeks at A&S and I cannot say enough about this place. They sent my daughter photos of our bunny in the giant x-pen and being snuggled by staff every few days, and upon request. They even generously topped up her meals with fresh veggies from their garden (at no extra cost!). She was definitely the opposite of neglected here.We weren’t able to make it during their regular hours to pick her up and they were happy to accommodate us after hours.Sad story about the lady and her older dane. Our recent experience with A&S was very positive.

I have taken our pitbull here for the past 4 years with out any issue. I have had delayed flights, last minute bookings, last minute pickups or extended stays and have had nothing but a great experience. Al has always phoned back or has emailed back within minutes of sending. They have been accommodating and have always taken extremely good care of my dog when I've been away. He would stay for typically 2 to 3 days at a time and has stayed for week long visits, previously 1 month stay, and for the past 2 months Monday to Friday. The staff have always been pleasant to deal with, they have taken him on walks as soon as I've arrived and hes never lossed weight while being at the kennel. He absolutley loved going there and loved all the staff. They would even give him baths when they thought he was dirty, trimmed his nails, and if ever he ran out of food they would ALWAYS supply it. Over the past 4 years I've had nothing but an exceptional experience here, all the staff, and both Al and Sally have been running an accommodating and respectable business. One which they would drop everything, stay late or open early just to have my pet taken care of on short notice. They are my only go to for dog boarding and have never had second thoughts on how they operate. I've been given tours of the facility and have seen mid day on various occasions on how they interact with their staff, their pets they are caring for and how they are being treated. The ac is always making each room comfortable, and each pet is comfortable and well taken care for and above all else has a clean place to stay, with food and water in each and every bowl.I encourage people to not read a single article that popped up on their page from a facebook post on a person or circumstances they themselves know nothing about and make their own biased judgements on a business that is not doing any harm and is providing exceptional service to people local to the area.I have never been disappointed using A&S and will continue to take my pets there in the future.

Over the course of five years, Vince Gilligan and his friends have constructed a world piece by piece, with attention to detail worthy of a Faberge egg. They created a compelling protagonist, a deeply flawed yet charismatic genius. They built a business at which he had savant-like skills, and depicted the family that often drove him crazy. Then blurred lines between the two. And in that way created a life for Walter White that many of us can relate to. But other great and groundbreaking TV dramas had done something similar, most notably David Chase’s The Sopranos, David Simon’s The Wire, and David Milch’s Deadwood. But Breaking Bad did something those iconic shows didn’t do. Show runner Vince Gilligan set his protagonist in motion. Television had always been about a kind of inertia. After every episode of M\*A\*S\*H or The Rockford Files there’d be a cosmic reset button that would allow the characters to return to exactly where they started at the beginning of the episode. That’s how you can make the Korean War last eleven years. And as that first generation of shows from television’s post-millennial Golden Era threw off so many of the shackles of convention inherent in the medium, they kept this one. Tony Soprano was a man who didn’t change, couldn’t change. Jimmy Mac-Nu, Stringer Bell and other characters of The Wire fought hard for change—changing themselves and changing the system—but Simon’s message was that the drug/cop/court/prison/politics system in a fictionalized Baltimore was, tragically, too big and too strong to be taken down by a few angry men and women. Vince Gilligan started Breaking Bad with no such constraints. Whereas Tony Soprano spent seven seasons running errands around North Jersey, Walter White embarked on an epic journey, tracing an arc reserved for iconic characters of literature and cinema like Jay Gatsby and Michael Corleone. As he morphed Mr. Chips into Scar face, Gilligan wrote his own version of The Great American Novel. On Steroids. Part of Breaking Bad’s grandeur stems from the medium itself. Watching The Godfather Part I and Part II takes about six and a half hours. You can read The Great Gatsby in roughly the same amount of time. When it’s over, Breaking Bad will span 62 episodes. We’ll have spent almost ten times as much time with Walt and Jesse and Sky as we did with Gatsby and Daisy or Michael Corleone and Tom Hag. We know Walter White in a way that few great characters have ever been known, coming to that knowledge organically, over time. But we spent that same kind of time with Tony Soprano and Mac-Nu. Breaking Bad differs from those shows--and surpasses them--in one important way. This is a story that’s moving toward an ending. The ending of The Sopranos, whether you loved it or hated it, was largely a non-ending. It was designed to make us think about the show and the act of watching it, as much as it made us think about Tony Soprano. The last season of The Wire, despite a number of resonant, even heartbreaking moments featuring Michael, Omar, and Bubbles, was simply not up to the standards of the four seasons that came before. Deadwood didn't have a proper series finale at all. For all their cardinal virtues, those other contenders for the Best Show Ever left us feeling somewhat unsatisfied.

Updated Review - this place has seriously gone downhill over the past few years and we refuse to take our animals there anymore. Not even as a last resort.Previous Review - Our first choice every time. Friendly and knowledgeable staff that you can tell they genuinely care about your pets. My husband and I live out of town and always bring our fur babies to A&S Kennels without question. We can enjoy our vacations knowing that our cat and dog are safe and happy at A&S.

Have been taking our dogs here for almost 20 years, for weekends to 3-week stays while we were overseas. When our arthritic dog was having difficulty with the kennel floors, Sally & Al brought her into their home to stay instead. The staff is always kind and you can tell they care greatly about the animals. Our dogs are always happy to be dropped off and are cheerful & healthy when picked up.

Updated Review: It is with sadness that I need to update this review and caution pet owners to think carefully before leaving your dog here. At the end of November 2022, my older dog unexpectedly passed away in their care. The vet told us he was dead on arrival. He was able to be revived, however he was extremely dehydrated and they were very concerned about his ability to recover. We had to make the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye to him while we were out of country. In my heart I truly want to believe that he was well taken care of and did not suffer while we were away. However, my brain tells me that extreme dehydration does not occur overnight and with another dog reportedly dying of similar conditions while in their care, I will not leave a dog here again.Original Review: I can only speak to my personal experience with this kennel. We have been using them for the past 6 years and have not had any significant concerns. They are quick to respond to text messages, they always give a full report about our dog's stay, and they've given me a tour of the facilities whenever I've asked. The inside has A/C and fans and was nice and cool even when it was over 30 degrees outside. We've had our dog stay anywhere from a weekend (2 nights) to 28 days without an issue. I just picked him up from a week's stay and he was happy, healthy, and not stressed.

I would be concerned to drop your pets off here. I had my two small dogs boarded here and one of them was returned with a fractured toe and suffering as I could immediately see she was in pain. Now upon saying this there was nothing done to make me feel better as an owner except a poor excuse for an apology and being told to take my dogs else where. I have a ten year old dog and she has not once received a broken bone at any of the facilities she has been boarded at nor do I think it is excusable. I know accidents happen however I would have appreciated the transparency of the situation and honesty over excuses. Especially since I dropped both dogs off with a months worth of food and received barely anything back (almost out of food) and yet when I brought the dogs to the vet they lost weight, as they were both at the vet a week prior to their visit. The dogs vaccinations were not asked about or noted down when I mentioned about their paperwork either.

We've had a great experiences with these guys going back for years. They are incredibly flexible when it comes to pickups and drop offs, and have been great with our dog who has had issues with separation anxiety. He's comfortable there, and that matters the most to me.
