They don’t train staff at lodges properly, hr and head office staff show favouritism to select lodge staff. Only perk from this job is the pay (which gets lower every year.. ha).

Floors are filthy all the time. My room was done twice in two weeks. My room was dirty, floors to. The camp at BorialisIsn’t busy so there is no excuse

Athabasca lodge went downhill big time. Food quality is non existent, selection is poor. Every Hotel has a better continental breakfast. Whatever I get on my plate is either cold or lukewarm, unless I’m having a coffee. No wonder people complain about camp food. Civeo needs to improve their accommodations in general.

Today is June 27 2023, I just had the most unbelievable experience in my entire life dealing with Civeo.I was having a full time job working up north in a camp, applied with Civeo for a new position; the hiring process went ok, I was being honest the whole time and got hired. After that I provided references and went through a D&A test.After signing a formal employment contract with Civeo on June 21, 2023, I resigned from my last job the same day.The planned starting date of my new job is June 28, then I was absolutely shocked by an email (on June 26, 2023) from Civeo saying “the position is no longer needed”. I immediately replied that Civeo’s behavior is causing damages to me very badly, Civeo used phrases like “unfortunate” and “due to unforeseeable nature of the business”.All of sudden I became unemployed without doing anything wrong and never even got a SORRY from Civeo. It is hard to believe this kind of things still happening in Alberta Canada in 2023, I lost my job and benefits, extremely frustrated by the situation.

Shocking!!!!! Shocking !!!!!!!!! What a shame on this Company refused to pay one day wages of my wife because she asked to leave after working for 10 unexpectedly on the first day of orientation, shocking there was NO Orientation not even showing the area and machines / equipments she was asked to start all unorganized / unplanned prep since she promised her daughter she will be back by evening 5 or 6 as being on the 1st day of her orientation, my wife was forced to work more than 11 hours.Since she requested to call off the day after 10 hours she was Not paid Till Today for that day after being many requests and follow up, this company removed her records and said you never worked with us. Shocking !!!!

Great camp services company. If you need a camp they are your people.

They hate you. They will feed you like you are a pig eating out of a trough. You are a inconvenience to them getting their money and they let you know it every way they can.Food has gone downhill so bad I actually bring my own now.

I wish I had something good to say about Borealis, but, I don't. The food is terrible! Maybe 2-3 edible items on the menu, and the lunch selections are mostly stale and dried out. The beds are old and worn out. The rooms are rarely tended. After they do 'clean', the floors are left gritty and need to be swept and the room smells like dirty socks. Definitely needs to make some changes IMO
