Melody is a fabulous instructor. She always goes above and beyond to make the lesson great. She has assisted me in many ways and my vocal knowledge has improved immensely. She always listens to my original songs I bring to the lessons.

Melody is an absolute gem! She is both a fabulous teacher and overall human being. Her studio is bright, tidy, and very welcoming and she is an extremely kind and open-minded person. Melody's knowledge of vocal pedagogy and her skill in applying that knowledge to working with many different musical genres is immensely helpful. I'm a classically trained singer learning to belt and to explore CCM technique and Melody offered me exactly what I needed to progress and to understand my whole instrument. Her skill in teaching using engaging technical exercises in combination with specific repertoire work has helped me to understand my vocal instrument on a deeper level. She has helped me to develop a more flexible voice and thanks to her fantastic teaching (and lots of practice!), I now feel comfortable performing many different musical genres. I would definitely recommend her to anyone seeking high-quality singing lessons!!

I have been studying with Melody since June of 2018. Throughout these four years, I have grown exponentially as a singer, musician, and as a person. Melody is a kind and understanding teacher who excels at helping her students perfect their craft through the implementation of studio recitals, recording projects, and personalized feedback in lessons.The Melody Thomas Music Studio is more than just a place to learn music, it’s a place to make connections with likeminded lovers of music. The supportiveness of the studio community aided greatly in the progression of my musical journey. I myself have made great friends and memories through the studio.If you’re considering music lessons in an accepting and lively space, I cannot recommend the Melody Thomas Music Studio enough!

My daughter Kelly started studying with Melody in 2018 when she was eleven years old. Through these four years, she has grown extraordinarily as a singer. She has learned around 80 songs, obtained her RCM level 7 voice certificate, won many Kiwanis Music Festival awards, and received two OMFA nominations, all under the guidance of Melody.Melody Thomas isn’t only an excellent singing teacher, but an amazing organizer of studio projects and activities. She encourages all her students to achieve personal goals, helps them in any way she can, and earnestly congratulates their successes. My daughter continues to value their relationship and looks up to Melody.For music lessons in Peterborough, the Melody Thomas Music Studio is the best of the best, and I highly recommend it.

My daughter started with Melody and staff 8 months ago and has loved every minute. Melody and her staff are so kind and encouraging. She has grown so much as a singer and has been able to have some new experiences she will never forgot. Melody and her staff make learning to sing so much fun!

Melody is AMAZING!I cannot rave about her enough. My experience with her has been outstanding- our lessons have been such a blast, I didn’t know voice lessons were so fun! I’ve learned so many practical tips from her, and in just 3 voice lessons I’ve already noticed my voice improving in some of our vocal exercises!! The church music team I am apart of also had Melody come & do team lessons- and they were just as fabulous as our private lessons, so much fun & such a great group activity- we all learned a lot. Melody creates a safe environment to learn & feel totally comfortable with where ever you’re at vocally.

I started working with Melody in 2015 as a beginner singer with very little confidence in myself and abilities. Melody is an amazing teacher as she instills confidence in her students with her positivity and encouragement. While working with Melody over the past 7 years she has encouraged me to try new genres of music from classical, jazz, contemporary, musical theatre, etc. She has encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone and into the musical theatre industry which has led me to a pursue post-secondary education in musical theatre at Sheridan College. Melody is a incredibly knowledgable and talented teacher and singer. She has not only taught me music theory and how to sing but also how to be a better person. She is a one and a million teacher, you would be lucky to work with her.

Melody's lessons are beyond fantastic. She works hard to create a welcoming and comfortable learning environment within her studio space, and I feel a sense of total freedom to explore my voice during our lessons. I have found her teaching style to be endlessly fun and engaging, but firmly grounded in Melody's profound expertise. Can't recommend enough!
