IF THIS IS CONSULATE OF ITALY WHERE THEY REPRESENT THE COUNTRY OF ITALY ,THEN I DONT WANT TO SPEND A MINUTE OF MY PRECIOUS TIME AND MONEY IN THERE!EXTREMELY IMPOLITE AND RUDE STAFF!!! I’m still SHAKING after my experience in there!We drove about 2 hours to get there because their website was not responding and we couldn’t book an appointment online!So we decided to go there and ask what are the options in this case! We understand that we only had to go there by appointment however because of their malfunctioning website and them not answer the phone, we had to get a day off our work and go there and face such a rude, disrespectful, mean and unbelievable behaviour from a tall bald guy and a woman with brown curly hair and bold eye glasses who was not listening was only repeating some words that’s not helping us at all and SHE WAS NOT LISTENING TO US AT ALL!!!I feel sorry for the beautiful country of Italy with pure culture that you are its representatives!!Absolutely ridiculous!

Would give 0 stars. Why does this place even exist? They don't do any work. They are abusing COVID rules so they don't even use their office for in-person anymore. Wasted my time and a lot of money. Better off just not going to italy

Painfully difficult to get an appointment through the online booking system. I have been checking each week for a year and a half and still don’t have one. After years of gathering all of the documents I needed to apply for citizenship by descent. I never thought booking an appointment with the consulate would be so difficult.

The employees who respond to emails at this location have taken their jobs for granted. They are playing with the future of undergrad and graduate students in Vancouver who are attempting to go on exchange to Italy. Shameful representation of Italy in a foreign country. I wonder what could be the reason for such rude and audacious behavior. I’ll be posting a few horrific examples of their email responses publicly going forward.

I have applied for Schengen visa multiple times, never had worse experience like here. Applied according to their website steps, however, they said the document package is wrong.They don’t try to understand or check more papers and just tell “We don’t care!”.No work ethics or whatsoever.

I have been having a good experience with this consulate while working on my Italian citizenship. Answers were provided in reasonable time and the staff is friendly. Booking the first appointment took time because the system limits the number of appointments, but that is managed centrally and it is out of the control of the consulate. I had the worst experience. I went with my mother for the visa application and the officer there was the rudest person probably, looks like she doesn’t like her job . She doesn’t understand the part that she is representing Italy , not helpful at all and was very very rude .When I told her that she is being rude , she threatened me to call 911 on me , can’t believe. I was feeling like that I am some kind of criminal and the judge is giving some kind of judgement on a serious offence.Italian Embassy need to appoint the right people who can represent their country well .

Aurora is very helpful. The other staff, not so much. Very slow processing times. Calls to the office always go straight to voicemail. Knowing people in Toronto that have approached the consulate for similar services get results much, MUCH more quickly.

Why does this place even exist if it doesn't help anyone? I swear I think I am being pranked every time I deal with anyone here.

I had a terrible experience communicating with this embassy to get tourist visa for Italy three months ahead of my travel date. Visa employees here are extremely unhelpful and rude, and have no intention of helping you. I ended up having to cancel my flight and lose money.Appointments are booked out as far as 4 months ahead, so check to see there are online visa appointments before you book your flights. It is impossible to get an appointment otherwise.
