Really fun free skate during the holidays

My son joined the CAN skate program here when he was 4 years old. We stayed for approximately 7 lessons before I (unbearably) decided to withdraw my son from the program.. This has to be worst experience both for my kid and for myself in all of the different sport classes taken over the years. The main problem are the following:1. The lessons are poorly organized. As a spectator from the sideline, I see every lesson the teacher going through the same routine of asking the children to move around the ice. The problem is the children are all at different level. Some obviously have some skating background and can glide along the ice and follow the teacher. Others have no background and can barely stand up. Nonetheless, the teachers universally seem to adapt the lesson pace to that of the most skilled / fastest child. As a result, the kids with no skating background end up standing in one spot or laying on the ice for most of the lesson, wondering what to do. There is no step by step skill building, where the kids are actually taught something.2. There is a lack of organization. In fact, there is not even a fixed teacher. Every lesson a new teacher takes over the group and sometimes even over the course of a lesson, the teachers changes. Perhaps because the teachers change students every lesson, there is no bonding or mutual understanding. The teachers attitude seems more to be like doing a job". For young children this is especially painful

Great experience for kids!

Refused to let my kids skate after receive our payment a month earlier.WE registered our kids for their spring session as our club does not have one and after accepting our payment they informed our couch who also couches for them that kids from other clubs would not be allowed to participate in the sessions they had already accepted them forFind another club as you can not assume your kids will get the lessons that you paid for

Love this place and so does my daughter!
