Viva Care Medical Clinic - Abbotsford (Inside Walmart)

Over all I am very unimpressed with this company there communication is terrible and they are short with all of their clients. Had booked an appointment for a in person appointment and 5 minutes before the appointment as I was pulling into the parking lot I received a really demanding phone call saying my appointment was changed to an over the phone appointment when I had asked for in person 100 times and the receptionist confirmed it would be in person. Receptionist was short and rude would not explain why and made it seem like it was always booked this way and told me the doctor works from her home and doesn't take appointments at work. Then why did you say it was book for inperson! Very upset will be sharing my experience to all of my friends and family. Medical system is so screwed up

March 22, 2021This is another disappointing review for this clinic. It has been hard to find in-person clinic these days so I thought to come here again. This time, the reception is rude and lacks people skills. She didn't set my appointment properly resulting for me to cancel it. Rude and insulting.I like this clinic for several reasons. They have the days and hours that fit my family needs, the location is convenient, the staff are nice and helpful and my family love Dr. Fourie. However, I have to write this review with regards to Dr. Douglas. I’m still shaking while writing this review and I am still appalled of how rude and mean he was. He didn't even say hi or hello or even introduce himself. I was just asking for a simple referral to see another ENT for second opinion. Before they remove my 7 year old daughter's tonsils and adenoids, i want to hear another opinion and he judged me as being picky and he said doctors don’t like to see people like me who jumps around seeing many doctors. I said it’s my right to see a doctor that i feel safe and comfortable. When it comes to safety of my children I have the right to choose which doctor will do surgery on my kids. Before I left I asked for his name because I want to make sure not to see him again! Though the receptionist is nice and helpful, I told her Dr Douglas is rude and has no manners at all. I don’t recommend him.

Made an appointment, phone only, to deal with a back problem.At the time of the appointment, Viva called to tell me the doctor does not treat back problems, and I would have to go to a different clinic.I asked for a referral to a back specialist, but the doctor refused to even talk to me on the phone.Totally useless.Unprofessional in attitude and execution.

I am Dr. DOUGLAS's patient. He is very kind, polite, professional, knowledgeable, caring, & a great listener. His attentiveness to each ofbmy health concerns made me decide to continue my medical care with him instead of my family Dr. For years. Thanks so much Dr. DOUGLAS it means a lot for an elderly woman like me to have such great care of her Dr. ❤️

If I could give it zero stars I would. My son has had reoccurring breathing problems, we were told the first time that it was likely bronchitis and given a puffer. He had a bad reaction to his puffer that landed us in the hospital so I didn’t want him using it. We could not get into our family doctor so I thought it better to “go to” a walk-in rather than the emergency as it was technically not an “emergency “. I was hoping maybe an X-ray could be ordered to finally let us know what was wrong. Dr Douglas was so rude, kept cutting my son off and told him to go to his family doctor. No wonder hospital emergency is overflowing with people that really could have been seen at a clinic. The kicker is that he will be paid for this visit.

best clinic ever. doctor Douglas is very polite and good listener as well. Punjabi receptionist is very helpful and kind. very good walk in and phone services. feeling grateful.

I've always got decent service here. Most of the doctors are friendly enough and try to get you in and out but you can tell some of them definitely don't want to be there. Some of the people on here need to cut the front desk some slack. It's a difficult environment. The reality is these days is that there is to many patients and not enough doctors to go around. It's compounded even more at this clinic due to the good location. Even if you get there 30 min before they open there will be a dozen people already waiting outside. If you get there after its already open then will be definitely in for a wait. Book an appointment a few days before if you can. If you can't then expect to be sitting for a while with some cranky sick people being handled by an overworked staff trying get people through like cattle.

PATHETIC RECEPTIONIST! AND THEY DON'T EVEN WANNA ADMIT IT! AND THEY DON'T CARE!I am compelled to share my deeply disappointing experience with the receptionist (Lindsay) at Viva Care Medical Clinic. Despite multiple negative reviews about her unprofessional behavior, it is shocking that she continues to still serve the clinic and tarnish its reputation.During my visit, the receptionist (Lindsay) demonstrated a complete lack of basic customer service skills and showed a disrespectful and confrontational attitude.The fact that the clinic has failed to address previous complaints/reviews and take action against her speaks a lot about their commitment to customer satisfaction and quality of service. Patients should not have to suffer such mistreatment and unprofessionalism during what can already be a stressful and vulnerable time.I urge others to search for alternative options and to be cautious when considering Viva Care Medical Clinic for their needs. Regrettably, such a crucial healthcare facility fails to meet even the most basic standards of patient care and professionalism.

I have been calling this office about my husband's and my appointment several times for different reasons on the referral letters this office was supposed to fax to the spacialists; and every single time I was on the phone with Lindsay, the office manger, I received nothing but respect, patience, care and commitment to facilitate the job for whatever the need was at a time and to help to get it done 100%. she spent time to explain everything she thought I need to learn or know about anything in that regard I called her back and forth. she is super nice and understanding & the best listener.IMO, peole like her must be valued epecially in the horrible medical system we have here in Canada, where you have to wait for a GP a year or so to be accepted as a new patient and we end up frustrated and anxious, and all that, people like her who listen and understand you, their attitude mean a world to you, right?Thank you so much Lindsay for the best service.

I can not say enough wonderful things about Dr. Douglas and his office team! I have been receiving the absolute BEST care from them since January of this year (2021), when my own family doctor was on maternity and I coudl not find anyone to help. I walked into this clinic in January with a serious blood issue (which I did not know at the time) and Dr. Douglas investigated my issue thoroughly! He sent me for every test possible and referred me to the appropriate specialists immediately! He has followed up with me continualy. He phones me to see how I am doing and he returns every call on the same day! His staff have provided me with copies of my test results upon request and they are always polite and extremely helpful! I am so impressed with Dr. Douglas and his entire team! I would highly recommend them!!
