Nice rinks. Lots of options for what you want to do. Regular rink for hockey, an oval around the outer perimeter for skating and a couple of small skating areas for new skaters and families. Lots of benches and skating aides for everyone.

The whole family loves this outdoor rink. It can become congested and there is not a lot of space to put skates on. Best bring your own stool to put skates on. Currently not allowed pucks or sticks.

I like living in a community that doesn't put a huge fence and locked gates around their outdoor sports facilities. Anyone can come and enjoy, and the upkeep is great.

The crew that manages the ice here really does an amazing job. I’ve lived in the community for the last five years and haven’t had a single day to the rink that’s been unskatable. There’s certainly some little twerps on occasion but they grow out of it. The facilities are awesome, the ice is 10/10, we’re very lucky to have access to such a great facility.

Valley Ridge Outdoor Rink and Sports Court
Outdoor rink is open. Change room is closed/locked and NO HOCKEY NO STICKS NO PUCKS allowed. Group physical activities are prohibited. Signs are up.Must follow social distancing and Capacity limits guidelines. If an area says 10 people max capacity, please follow. Please limit skating time to allow others to skate when busy. Don't come if sick. Keep the community safe. Happy and safe skating.

This is nice neighborhood skating rink. They conduct skate lessons during Fall/winter and is open rink. Need to be VRCA member and pay for the lessons.

The ice here is amazing, super smooth. There are nice nets supplied to use for ringette or hockey. Only one thing that isnt great at this place, the volunteers for the zambonie can be very rude to the children.

This is an amazing facility. For Winter: Hockey rink, skating oval, kids area, heated change facility . Summer: volley ball, basket ball, badminton, play ground with rubber floor, etc.

Valley Ridge Outdoor Rink and Sports Court
Arguably some of the best outdoor ice in Calgary. The volunteers in our community keep the surfaces in great shape, Zamboni cleared. Skating loop, several hockey rinks and smaller, quieter areas to teach little ones how to skate.
