CMHA Peel does not listen to their clients. They decide themselves what the client needs. They do not take notes, resulting in the client having to repeat themselves and justify themselves repeatedly. CMHA Peel knows absolutely nothing about certain mental health conditions. If a client displays a symptom of their condition they are made to feel bad because the CMHA worker has absolutely no clue about the condition. CMHA Peel gives referrals to services that are not even being offered anymore, and to online services that result in abuse of the client. Michelle Lewis of CMHA Peel showed up late for every single meeting, and was a no show at times without notification. She literally smiled upon declining services. Very, very pathetic mental health organization.

Recovery West is a good concept and I helped many peers, however the program needs a new perspective and focus. This pandemic which has caused insurmountable damage is more reason for peer support networks.

Yet another so called mental health organization that only proves that pyschology, pharmacology, and social work are fraudulent practices that only seek to provide an acceptable outlet to enforce social control over poorer people, or simply those who are deemed insufferable misfits.The Cam H of brampton". When you find yourself reffered here do yourself a favor and ask yourself "Do I want to be marginalized and exploited by an agency that reinforces the stigma of mental illness

Stay away from this place! They will not take into account anything you say and will decide for themselves what to do. Avoid at all costs

Crisis team is definitely not for a “crisis” if they need mentally ill patient’s consent to provide help. If the patient was mentally stable then they would go seek help themselves so this service defeats its purpose. I don’t think there is a need for a service like this as it’s totally useless.

I used to love going there and the activities they have there are plentiful and fun but mine and others experiences with the day staff have not been favorable. The evening drop-in staff are absolutely amazing though.

Very patient and always accepting anyone to join in group activities. They have fun programs that are free and easy to access. Thank you CMHA

This place plays head games with people, they belittle clients and are a bunch of control freaks. Karen Hand is a demented person.

These “services” meant to help mental health patients are completely useless. We were at their door today asking for help (this is after calling them multiple times, filling out online forms and not hearing back) and they refused to open the door. Someone dealing with an actual mentalHealth issue like schizophrenia is already unwilling to seek help, and if they ever try…. It usually ends with nothing.

I have been an employee of CMHA Peel Dufferin for many years and I am very proud to be part of an innovative professional and caring organization. My long years of service is also a result of the values and principles the organization operates on. CMHA is a person centered recovery focused organization that cares about clients, families, staff and the community it serves. On a perosnal note I would recommend CMHA Peel Dufferin to my family and friends.
