Had the absolute pleasure of meeting Alex today in his workshop. I highly recommend visiting this shop just to see the beautiful pieces he has displayed and to have a chat with him. A highlight of my trip to Bar Harbor.

We thought this was going to be a bigger shop to browse clocks and such but it’s just a workshop with a small lobby area. Mr. Phillips made it an enjoyable visit anyway, briefly pointing out his machines and what they were used for, and telling us the history of some of the clocks he had in the walls. Wish we’d had more time to chat. Very cool.
