Wag and Walk - Dog training

We left our dog with Aaron for a week of board and train while we were away to work on some behavioural issues. We received no contact while we were away. Only once we returned did we find out that Aaron had been sick for the week and had left our dog at the kennel associated with his business (which we didn't need because we had family willing to take him at a moment's notice if anyone had called us).Once we got him home, we found several puncture wounds, which had gotten infected, indicating that he had been attacked but never treated. He also had a slight limp and smelled like urine. When we asked why we were never told of any injuries, no one seemed to have any answers for us. We made several complaints and requests for answers, but we were always the ones to make the call, no one from their team ever reached out to us.Please avoid at all costs for the welfare of your dog.

I started training my 8-week-old golden retriever with Aaron at Wag and Walk, and he has grown into such a well-behaved dog and can even blow bubbles on command! Aaron differs from every local training facility by NOT using any forms of punishment (No squirt bottles, no prong collars, no e-collars) unlike many trainers in KW. They disguise it as reinforcement... Aaron teaches your fur baby to genuinely respect you and offer behaviour. His work always shocks people when they see what he can do in half an hour. Give him a moment of your time, and he will not disappoint! Thanks Aaron!

Amazing results after just the first session for our four month old pup!

We took our dog to Aaron and signed up for the Boot Camp program he offers at Wag N Walk. Our dog showed many signs of aggression and resource guarding. She did not listen well to commands and walking properly was an issue. We took two private lessons with Aaron prior thinking we would learn some basic tips to teach our dog. In those two lessons we learn (crate training and eye contact - that our dog had mastered) Aaron said to deal with her aggression, he recommended we sign her up for the boot camp. He said because we did these two private lessons he would give us a “deal”, he also mentioned that no matter how long it takes it will be a fixed price. She was in there 5 weeks (with a break due to COVID-19 shutdown) after the 5 weeks Aaron was confident that she was ready to come home. During these 5 weeks we took her home every weekend. Every time she was picked up we would ask for a report or documentation on what he works on so we could continue her training at home. We Never received any of that. We do not feel she was ready at all to come home. He said that if we wanted more training that it would cost more to provide that. We feel that we were not given the proper resources to continue her training at home. He continues to put the blame on us that we are not doing the proper things at home and in fact doing the “opposite” of what he has told us.He does not respond well to his phone (calls/texts) and does not provide his full time when in lessons due to pickup/drop offs of other dogs. He is the soul trainer at this facility and in result does not provide his full attention. It is unfair for the owners as well as the dogs.Overall we are very disappointed in his services and would not recommend. On his website it states that there will be a free transitional lesson to show what he has done in order to maintain at home. This was also not given, instead he used majority of that hour to talk about the psychology of dogs.

Aaron is great to work with! Highly recommended. The fact that you can train a dog to think for itself in a positive manner without relying on treats or other crutches makes this a solid long term investment.

I was in absolute amazement with how much and how quickly my 5 month old shepherd/black lab learned in a one hour training session! I look forward to more sessions with Aaron, he is like the dog whisperer!
