Nice restaurant for take out!The dishes with their chili sauce were fantastic, and the owners were very gentle.

Perfectly dumplings hard to find in Calgary. Although its very easy to make but still require good quality ingredients and good control of temperature and time. They nailed it! Its so yummy with first bite and you feel the juicy exploded in your mouth. Highly recommend pick the crispy (water fried) its even better. Their homemade chili oil is good pairing with the dumplings. Spicy yet full of aroma.

Deng's Dumplings blew up on social media in 2022 and I waited for some of the hype to die down before going. When I finally visited, there was no one waiting so I could easily get some dumplings for my hunger.Like all who have posted, the family is so friendly and kind. They had big smiles and asked if it was my first time. When they found out it was, they handed me a free water. The gesture is why the public rallied around them.I was finally on the east side of the city to try Deng's Dumplings for myself. The owner is friendly and upon hearing that it was my first time, he gave me a free bottle of water. I actually could use some water as my throat was dry. What a nice guy!I ordered the water fried pork dumplings and the steamed beef dumplings. Both were decent and the dumpling skin was acceptable to me. Personally, next time I would ask him to fry the pork dumplings a little longer to get more crisp on the one side. Also, the beef has either cumin or slight spice to it compared to the pork.The accompanied vinegar dipping sauce was light, not as intense as I'm used to at other places. I also ordered the Grandma's Secret Chili Oil" which has a nice flavor to it.Overall

The BEST dumplings in Calgary!! I recommend the pork water fried dumplings and be sure to get their special chilli oil.

We went here for their free lunch during stampede 2023, and had the best dumplings I have ever had in a while. I am vegetarian so their vegan dumplings were the obvious choice. They were steamed and filled with carrots, mushrooms, and cabbage. The outer layer was perfectly cooked and the filling had a satisfying crunch. We ended up buying 20 more frozen ones. Definitely look order from them if you’re looking for affordable, delicious dumplings!

This is a great little mom n’ pop shop for dumplings. I would absolutely give them 5 stars for effort and hard work. As for the dumplings I’m a tough customer as I’ve eaten dumplings in Hong Kong, different parts of China including Shanghai and Beijing, and in Vancouver. The filling is tasty but the dough wrapper is too thick for my taste. The ratio of meat to dough wrapper is off. I ate them by cutting it in half and I mostly got dough and not enough meat. The vinegar isn’t sour enough thus a little bland. I went home and mixed the vinegar with minced ginger, chili oil and more vinegar to get the kick I’m used to. I like spicy so their chili oil wasn’t spicy enough for me. This is of course an individual preference. I likely won’t be back anytime soon to pick up dumplings as it’s quite a far drive for me. However I give huge kudos for this family-run business and wish them all the success!

family run dumpling place for takeout only. I've tried both their regular steamed & their dumpling soup, and both were excellent. the dumplings are large, well portioned with seasoned pork filling, and the wrapper is not at all too thick but still chewy. the homemade chili oil has a great flavour and light kick (disclaimer: I eat pretty spicy but nothing crazy).they can get pretty busy, so be patient! or call and order ahead. they also sell bags of frozen dumplings for a bargain.

Fantastic locally ran family business. We picked up 100 frozen handmade dumplings. The dumplings cooked easily, well balanced ratio of meat & veg, dumpling skin was also perfect not too thin or thick. Most importantly they taste amazing, they had very good flavour.Owner and staff were so friendly and kind, definitely will be back!!

Had the steamed dumplings. Filling is flavourful and delicious as is the chilli oil. Great value for size of dumplings. Dough is a bit too thick, but I’ll still be back.*Been back a second time a few months later and still stand behind original review
