They are very slow at returning calls. But the work is good

Had some good experiences and some bad experiences with this company. First the good - They were very prompt when fire destroyed most of my home. They came to house right away and completed the pack out within a week. The ladies that organized the pack out were amazing. Very friendly, helpful and sympathetic to my situation. A demo crew came and completed the demo phase fairly quickly also.Now on to the bad. Since we hired FOS to do the initial pack out, they were automatically called in to do the walkthrough for the rebuild specs. This was completed by an employee who had already taken a new job with a competing company and we had to make several ammendments to the building specs. Also because we hired them to do the initial pack out, they were automatically given the first bid on the construction rebuild. The new employee tasked with this process then took the original rebuild specs and made a bid based on this information alone without once stepping foot into my house. How he was able to come up with an accuate estimate without personally seeing the home is beyond me.Their bid came in substancially lower than the other two competitive bids and therefore was the one that my insurance company approved. Keep in mind that as the homeowner, I was allowed to choose the contractor of my choice (wasn't going to use FOS that's for sure), but I was obligated to stick to the budget that was approved by our insurance company. Once I had selected a contractor, who is a personal family friend, even he was not able to complete the rebuilt within the approved budget. Thanks for the low ball bid FOS! Luckily I had a super fantastic insurance adjuster who was very understanding of my concerns and was able to get the funds we needed to complete the project using my chosen contractor. But it doesn't end here folks!Here we are, 5 months later, and FOS had only just started the cleaning/loss list process of my remaining belongings. This means that all of my posessions have been marinating in that lovely smoke smell all this time. Fat chance the smell will ever come out now. And good luck getting an accurate loss list from them. I am still fighting with them about this. Hopefully if this happens to you, you have a photographic memory of every item you own! The process of getting an accurate loss list from them has been a nightmare as they keep neglecting to list items I know for were lost in the fire.In short, I would not recommend this company to anyone. Do yourself a favor and pick any company other than this one.

Joseph contacted me right away. We needed lots of coordination as this was a cabin on a lake. He followed up continuously. He was honest and helpful with the process. The subcontractor Maurice did excellent work, a great clean up and also communicated through the project. A Big Thank You.

The rebuild from a small flood in my basement is complete and I can't say enough how well it went.First off, the initial phone call was excellent and the demo crew arrived promptly, got my stuff out of the way and then started cutting drywall, cleaning what they could along the way, and took great care to stack the things staying elsewhere in my house. The demo crew were very friendly, worked to my schedule (I work from home), and installed multiple air scrubbers and dehumidifiers to dry things out.The drywall guys, painters, carpenters, electrician, and carpet cleaners were all excellent (almost all of them were in-house staff). Again they were really accepting of my schedule, professional, respectful while in my house, never late, and they often texted me to give me an update that they were on their way.Last, the construction manager, and especially the Project Manager (Jason Lane), were great to deal with. Polite, professional, extremely prompt with returning my calls and answering questions.Overall, I will highly recommend these folks to anyone I know who might need their services. I trust they will provide the same excellent service.Kelly
