Le Griffix

Been living here for 3 years and finally moving out next summer. The building is poorly built and now falling apart. Do not rent and especially do not buy here. Some problems off the top of my head:- Water is very slow to warm up.- AC is always broken. Landlord has been paying different companies to come but nobody could fix it.- Water drips from the ceiling in the shower. Again, landlord has been paying different people and they could not find the leak.- Rooftop is always closed.- Ceiling in the lobby is ripped from a water leak and it was never fixed.- Fan and AC make loud, high-pitched noise all the time especially in the main bedroom.- All materials are cheap. They may look nice and modern in pictures but they do not last: closet handles keep unscrewing, floor wood tiles are uneven etc.- Never-ending construction all summer that makes the neighborhood look like a maze.Overall, the neighborhood is overrated and this particular building is falling apart. Do not buy, you'll regret it.

Terrible building maintenance. The whole place is falling apart. Walls are slimy, top floor terrace has been closed forever, carpets gross.

Great place to live.

We live there since September last year. The place is quite nice and cleaned. We have a nice view on the canal, rue Peel and rue Wellington. You have access to the roof, terrace and the gym. The problem for me is that sometimes we need to wait long to get anything from administration; they reside in city Sherbrooke and come to Montreal from time to time. Overall we are happy with the location; we have a daycare nearbay (there is plenty of private ones), pharmacies (Pharmaprix and Brunet), BMO, Adonis, Dollarama, Winners, some cafes, restaurants and home decoration stores. The only minus for the location is lack of playground for the kids. You need to drive to get somewhere or take a bus. In summer there is a live music in one of the restaurants which is sometimes too noisy on weekends nights. Ok

Perfect condo at Griffix on the15th floor, high-quality, everything working properly, great service, location absolutely awesome, much better than most places in Griffintown. The management is on top of things, low condo fees, clean, complete gym, Pharmaprix in front, very large surface grocery/services/banks and the Lachine Canal less than a corner away. Truly 3 minute walk from future REM. Couldn't ask for more. Most negative reviews don't apply to the present situation at The Griffix and certainly never applied to higher floors (14 and up). Sentinel is NOT the management company since years. The new management and syndicate have done an incredible job and the financial position of The Griffix is now one of the best in the area. The building IS very good quality. The views from higher units are awesome. The terraces are to reopen very soon.

People stealing parcels from delivery at Mail room area. Watchmen refused to view camera to check out. I lost my packages twice

I wouldn't recommend anyone to live here. These concrete boxes are not made for humans.Summer 2021 the rooftop is still closed, the area is a constant construction site of more concrete boxes, the water is very slow to heat up, communication is horrible and impersonal. Especially in the lower apartments it is suffocating with only some tiny windows that open to exhaust fumes, construction and Moretti parties where rich people need to overcompensate for their insecurities by revving their cars at 2 am on a Tuesday.

Very bad. for the price there are bulduing 1000 times better in term of quality and others. A/C doesnt work right, roof top is always closed since 2018, everything is cheap. Avoid at all cost.

I liked living there. It was easy to rent. We had great views of the East and could see the fireworks etc. The location is good so you can walk to all the action Downtown. It was cool to be right near the canal. Easy access to the highway. Pretty good condo living if that's what you want.

I was a visitor...was clean..nice parking...n location amazing...not great views...but restaurants below..Morrelis...just amazing food n people !!!Condo Price's can't be beat wow..as far as management.. complaints I read...typical stuff...it's like that anywhere lol
