Uptown Bistro
Updated: I can no longer recommend breakfast. I don't know what happened. It used to be a great place for a classic breakfast. Now it's like some experimental kitchen serving unrecognizable dishes. I tried the French toast, a simple dish of bread, eggs, and milk, fried and served with butter and maple syrup. What arrived was thin slices of bread absolutely drowning in what I can only describe as thick orange goo of some sort, with a pile of bananas on top (a generous portion at least). It didn't resemble French toast in any way. A good example of improving" on a simple idea until it becomes a disaster. I really should have photographed it because it was unbelievable. The flavours in this dish are supposed to be simple and delicious. Whatever this was ruined it.By all means

Everything was good. Not the fanciest place around, but the service was friendly, and the prices were on point for the style and quality of food.Definitely recommend them if you want a good hearty meal.

Great place, affordable food and fantastic staff. The lamb burger is my new go-to order and my husband swears by the breakfast sandwich. We will be back!

Wonderful atmosphere, the gentleman who served us was very pleasant. 14$ FOR A BURGER AND PINT OF BEER. You can't beat that. Or their prices for the record, the whole menu is affordable and reasonably priced, liquor is cheaper than the competition, and they don't sacrifice quality for price!5/5 my new watering hole.

The food was not good. Everything was incredibly bland. I had the salmon sandwich, and it was overcooked, dry, and underseasoned. My wife had fish and chips that were incredibly underwhelming. Fries had no seasoning at all. Food was just bad. Low quality ingredients and poorly executed.My partner asked for a long island iced tea, and our server basically just said no because she didn't know how to make it. Ummm... that's what Google is for. Look it up! Make it happen. Her response just blew my mind as I could see all the ingredients on the bar shelf. Our server did go off shift before our meals arrived, and the girl that took over was about the only highlight of our entire experience. The second server was quite pleasant, but it didn't make up for the awful food.Needless to say we will not be back and I would recommend you just keep driving. Skip this place.

First time going to the Uptown Bistro. Loved it and would return. Ordered their calimari which had a great spice to it (was so good) and no unpleasant fishy taste! Highly recommend you try this. I also got the chicken strips and fries. The strips were good, the fries were great. Waitress was friendly and attentive. Great meal!

This is a great spot for a home cooked meals done right! The food is always hot and there is a great selection of home favourites including shepherds pie, locally sourced hamburgers, beef pot pie with yummy puff pastry and several popular chicken dishes as well.

We ordered takeout the other day, fish and chips, steak sandwich, calamari and onion rings.Food was plenty, tasty and hot when it arrived.Great place to order from and we will for sure again. Awesome job Uptown Bistro team!!
