Kirby is amazing. She did newborn photos for us as well as family photos. She was able to capture our personalities and exactly the vibe I wanted in our pictures. I can't wait to have her take our photos again.

I have had the pleasure of having Kirby in my life for the last couple of months as I have transitioned into motherhood for the first time. She has been an absolute blessing as I had no idea how hard breastfeeding and postpartum could be. She was available 24x7 to answer my questions over text which has been absolutely invaluable to me as I navigate this new world of motherhood. She is calm, responsive, reliable and extraordinarily helpful; she just knows what I need help with without me even asking. My daughter really likes her. We call her our ”baby whisperer” because when she is around my daughter is calm and just sleeps. On top of her postpartum knowledge, she is an excellent cook and housekeeper (and I have been told throughout my life that I have very high standards). I would highly recommend Kirby and a postpartum doula to any new mother and especially anyone like me that does not have a strong local support network. She has made the hard parts of becoming a mom easier and at the same time helped introduce me to my new community of Tsawwassen and made it feel more like home. Thank you, Kirby!!

Kirby is the BEST! She made our whole family feel comfortable. The experience was so enjoyable. The sneak peaks came so quickly and so did the album! So many beautiful photos to capture my family! So happy we used Kirby :)

We contacted Kirby to ask if she'd come document our team work retreat for a short time in the style of one of her 'lifestyle' sessions. We weren't interested in posed photos or 'proper' headshots or traditionally corporate-style photos, but rather wanted some documentary-style shots of us as a group. Our team was about to celebrate five years in business and we'd never done team photos before. Kirby was very responsive and super accommodating. She put everyone at ease right away (even those usually uncomfortable getting their photos taken!) and we loved the images we got from the session - which we received super quickly in both colour and black & white. 10/10 experience! We'd definitely work with Kirby again and highly recommend her as a photographer.

I first connected with Kirby in my first trimester of pregnancy. I immediatly found her to be gentle in her approach while she let me lead with my own inquisitiveness. When I expressed interest or question on certain topics it was then that she would guide me to non biased, evidence based resources for ME to do my research. She helped me find reliable science based sources and provided me with the space to form my own beliefs and then was there for additional conversation when I needed more detail. As my pregnancy progressed I appreciated how accessible she always seemed to be, weather it be via video call, phone call or text message. Kirby provided me with numerous books to read and links to click whenever I had questions. She anticipated topics that would be addressed at my midwives appointments which enabled me to be have informed conversations, and stand in my own truth when it was necessary.She was always available when I had questions or concerns and was fully present when I needed to express my dreams and desires when it came to my birth plan.More so, Kirby was there to support and encourage me when I felt I wasn't being heard by my care providers. I dreamed of a home birth, unfortunately due to medical reasons I was unable too birth at home but having Kirby on my team while I juggled with transitioning to a hospital birth made all the difference. She navigated all the restrictions the hospital due to Covid 19.All throughout I felt that she was guiding me in discovering myself to believe in my own innate wisdom, what she knew to already be. Kirby helped me tap into this beautiful knowing of my own power, so much so that when it came time to birth my beautiful baby boy, I had the strength within me to do so without any medication and without any doubt in my heart. She helped me transition within my pregnancy from my head to my heart and believed in me so fiercely it was impossible for me not to believe in myself.Not only was i growing a human, but we were growing a friendship that I will forever cherish.The post partum period has been a whirl wind, with a multitude of struggles. Kirby has been exceptional at helping me navigate all the ins and unexpected outs of breast feeding and learning how to care for a newborn. Kirby has been an amazing resource in my postpartum period showing compassion and empathy when it is most needed. I'm so grateful for her continued support. This journey of pregnancy, birth and early parenthood is that much richer because Kirby has been a part of it. In my opinion, everyone needs a Doula and Kirby is the best there is.

kirby is one of the most kind, compassionate, down to earth people i have ever had the pleasure of getting to know. she joined us from 8 weeks of our pregnancy and guided us all the way through , joined us in a very long birth , as well as captured the most precious photos i could ever ask for. kirby made such an effort to stay in contact and became a true friend . she went on to capturing photos of our family 4 more times , and i look forward to getting the opportunity to have her present at another Birth in the near future!

I can't imagine what our birth would have been like without Kirby. In pregnancy, her wealth of information and ability to assuage fears was invaluable. During labor, her calm confidence and gentle support made me feel completely safe and cared-for from beginning to end. I was amazed at how she could perfectly read the situation (often based only on the sounds coming from my partner in the bathroom!) and act swiftly and accordingly. Kirby constantly made us feel that she believed in us. Postpartum, she was always there to answer any questions and provided helpful tools to facilitate a comfortable, healthy start.
