Higgins Event Rentals had David Mintz Catering cater our holiday party in our showroom, this year. Although they are used to feeding movie stars, they treated our whole team like we were the stars. The food was amazing, the crew who came to set up and serve were wonderful and there was plenty of food. The ordering process was seamless and friendly. The invoice was what we expected. Really impressed with the taste and quality of DMC's food. The staff is friendly and professional and they provided healthy options to meet my dietary restrictions. Would not hesitate to recommend them!

The quality of the meals will vary according to the team assigned to your truck but all the food is thoughtfully curated and intentionally nutritious. It especially seems that they are trying to keep us well fed during covid to keep our health intact. Always open to modifications according to dietary restrictions.

Had the pleasure of eating DMC on several film shoots in the GTA and I am impressed at the quality of the food they prepare for such large groups (200+ people on location). I am not a fan of buffet style dining, however, given the circumstances of the film industry they do an unbelievable job to make sure there is a wide variety to please all palate's.

Ive been working on film sets for a few years and have come to realize that if i want to make it in this business and especially working grueling set hours (15 plus hours a day) , i have to avoid eating this food.I am vegetarian and tend to eat light. This food is way too heavy on the hot days and also way too oily always. The food sits around too long and last week i received a greek salad that had been left in the sun and was rancid and the next day a chick pea salad that also had been baked in the sun and made me have diarrea for days.From now on im eating crafty.Ive also worked in cooking, catering and kitchens a long time before my film life and have to say that they can do a lot better.

David Mintz is also the main caterer to the motion picture location cast and crew in and around the GTA. Great selection and healthy nutritious meals.

Unbelievable food. Always look forward to lunch on set. Snapper on the menu yesterday. And their pasta specials are always surprising. Cole slaw with jalapeños. And cakes - strawberry shortcake and lemon cakes; yum. Love the app for ordering. It makes life simpler for everyone although difficult to choose.

I have worked in the film industry a long time. During Covid provides its unique challenges.Out of all the caterer's working in the Ontario film industry, Mintz is usually spot on.Their staff are always friendly, professional and passionate.The only negative comment I have is that often as of late, for the pasta dish choices Mintz adds these very bitter, distinctive vegetables/garnishes that take over the pasta dish making them unedible!!!For example Swiss Chard and others.Today I had an amazing spaghetti dish that was only good because I requested no garnishes.I had a similar pasta dish yesterday from the date of this review that was so bad I literally spit it out and tossed it in the garbage. Simply because the veggie/greenery garnishes overtook the dish.I encourage Mintz to taste test each dish so you can understand.I get it, it's all about the money and having leftover food ingredients that Mintz tries to use on different film productions but I'm telling you, crew members notice when Mintz reuses leftover ingredients like Pineapple, I wont name the productions I recently worked on to prove this.I wrote this review in the hopes David reads this to help make his company and food just a touch better, even when productions provide you with a tiny budget to achieve the impossible.Thank you for your understanding.
