Classy Canines Kingston

After adopting an older yorkie with some controlled medical issues, we had concerns with the level of compassion given from another group we tried. After 2 failures to have a complete grooming, and the involvement of management on the 3rd, we needed a more understanding and personal service.Classy Canines has been everything and more! Great rates, respectful, patient and very loving to our fur baby!

So glad to have found an awesome groomer that doesn’t cage the dogs. Brought my Samoyed puppy there yesterday who can be a handful and she let him play with the dogs (like getting doggy daycare plus grooming) and he came out looking absolutely beautiful. They even dremelled his nails and they are so nice and smooth now. Excellent place to take your dog.

I took our cat Jasper to see Melissa to have some matting removed and a lion clip. It was his first time but Melissa did a fantastic job. I would definitely recommend her to my friends.

Cat Groomer (Melissa): Poor communication, quality of work and service. Melissa charged me over $100 to brush my cat. The cat is difficult and I informed them of that but they had 2 people do it the first time and I had no issues with the service. Brought her in again and they didn’t have the second person to help, which was not communicated to me, so she wasn’t able to complete the service (just brushed her - which was also not complete) but still charged me over $100. I never received a call to let me know and Melissa was not pleasant or professional when voicing my dissatisfaction with her lack of communication and incomplete service. The cat was also given medicine before going in to help keep her calm. Melissa said the medicine didn’t work and complained she got scratched (you work with cats?). I brought my cat home and she was falling over while walking out of her crate. Clearly the medicine worked so I spent my lunch break doing what I paid Melissa to do.I now do it myself using the same medicine and have had no issues grooming my cat. To anyone reading this, I highly recommend you go elsewhere or learn how to do it yourself. The people at Jazzy seemed pleasant when I brought her in after Melissa “attempted” to groom her and were willing to fix her but had other animals in at the time. Maybe go to them first before seeing Melissa. She should understand that working with cats won’t always be an easy job, and know when to contact a customer if it can’t be done right.

A great place. My Dog Blu gets nervous when I leave her anywhere. When I brought her in for the first time she was nervous. But she was free to roam and play with the other dogs- She loved it- way better than putting them in a crate. Sandra and Katie did a marvellous job with her wash and trim. I would highly recommend going here!

This is the second time we had brought our cat to Classy Canines. We were very happy with the sanitary cut the first time. But this time we thought a lion cut would be different. This cut was over $100. The cut was poorly done. It was very uneven around the neck and paws. We are very disappointed with the quality of workmanship from their groomer.

I'm over the moon impressed with everything about this salon. I'm usually stressed when leaving my dog at the groomers, but not this time! Sandra is so nice and you can tell she loves her clients. She did an amazing job with Roxy. This is by far the nicest groom she's ever had. And she wasn't stressed after. We can't wait to go back for a s-paw day!

Very happy at having a well groomed and handsome cat once more. Not the easiest feline to groom but Melissa did a great job and I will be definitely taking Benjii to see her again.

Absolutely amazing staff, could not be more responsive and easy to book with. I take my cat here to be groomed and it’s always a good experience for him - he never comes home stressed from being around dogs as their cat area is entirely separate from the dog area. Can’t recommend them enough!!
