Dr. Baldassare, performed cataract surgery yesterday on my right eye.From start to finish , this is the most professional , understanding man.Everything is explained in great detail from how it will be to recovery.Entire office staff are simply the best.We put my surgery off for a while as I only have one eye, (Lost left eye in car accident 25 years ago) and with any surgery there is always a chance, something could go wrong.Well this morning after taking the shield off and letting the eye drops settle, I have never seen this clear as long as I can remember.I'm 68 and this was the best day of my life, to be able to see this clearly, it was crisp, and brilliant, and this is just day one,I don't even think I will need my glasses anymore.I cannot thank Dr. Baldassare enough for the joy he has given me back.To him and and all of his wonderful staff, a truly heartfelt thanks.Tom SchmidtKelowna BC

The total cataract removal surgery for me was a good experience, from the first consultation visit to the follow up appointments.All the staff were professional ,friendly, and knowledgeable while carrying out their part of the process. Dr. Baldassare was thorough and walked me through his diagnosis and the various ways for resolving the issue. He also answered my questions to my satisfaction. I would highly recommend him for cataract surgery. My eyesight has never been so good.

Had a terrible experience at this clinic. The front receptionist was nice enough but waited over an hour to see the dr. He hardly looked at my eye, was rude , talked over me and didn't help me at all. I left feeling unheard and frustrated!! What a disappointment.

No prior information from previous specialists was requested at all.Walked into the appointment expecting to have a throrough investigation of my eye sight from a well known professional, and instead was met with him telling me that he could not do anything for me that day because there was no prior information for him to go off of.The meeting took all of 4-5 minutes.My wife joined in - a physician no less - and had a few questions as she would understand better than I.Dr. Baldassare was very short, dismissive, and was consistently leaning out the door as she asked her questions.My personal opinion is that I found him to be extremely rude with his dismissive, short, and vague answers.

Initially saw him and was frustrated with my experience. I then called to complain and he followed up with any questions I had.

My 80 year old husband required cataract surgery. While he wears hearing aids, understanding speech when it's muffled by a mask was a challenge for him. Dr. B and his staff were understanding and allowed me to accompany Jim on all his visits.In reading some of the reviews, people complain how terse the doctor's comments are. This is not a social visit, that office is run in a friendly professional manner with very little time wasted between patients. Understandably, a person is frightened by the potential loss of sight but long discussions or question periods are best had with your optometrist not a very busy surgeon. If I require eye surgery, I know where I will go.

Staff are friendly and helpful and Dr Baldassare is a great specialist and helped improve my eyesight. Highly recommend him to anyone needing an optometry specialist.
