SARCAN Recycling

Even during this pandemic and stricter policies, this place & it's people run smoothly and efficiently. Fewer visits means more build-up of recyclable containers, and they still move people through quickly. There may be line-ups outside later in the day, but even at 2 p.m. everyone was queued inside. They all work hard, and don't get enough gratitude for what they do. Thank You, SARCAN.

Great service. Was in and out really quick with only two people ahead of me in the line. They even have a drop and go thing where you can print off labels after registering and just drop off your bags of recyclables if you don't have time to wait.

Too Many They refuse serviceIt was my first time, and it will be my last. As soon as I enter I've been asked, not by talking, but by SHOUTING, if i have more bags, then they refuse me to go get them and been asked to leave. This is an outrage. If this location is only 1-2 bags friendly, then they should advertise it, not throw out ordinary people trying to do their part for the environment. Unless you have few avoid this place, they don't seems to want to work. Spread's the news, this place don't give service. Why they even have a license?

Dropping off used batteries. Plus they had a contest promo for this. Lots of parking available. I went to the side counter and asked about this. The fellow found a lady to help me. She was excellent, even though she wasn’t familiar with the promo. Dropped off the batteries and entered the contest. What more could you ask for!

I used Drop & Go at this location without any problems. I did not step in a single sticky spot and the place also smelled less unpleasant than other SARCANs. It seemed pretty roomy, too, for whatever that's worth. Too bad I rarely have any business on the east end since this just might be the best Drop & Go facility.Google Maps doesn't make it very easy to find the place, though, since it shows the marker on the wrong building. This facility isn't quite on the service road - it's embedded in a parking lot on the west side of Giant Tiger.

The people counting the cans, bottles etc are efficient, diligent and right on with their numbers. The cashier whp serviced me forgot to ask his name though needs training. I had 3 receipts to be cashed and he made blunders. He punched in the same numbers for 2 different receipts and forgot about the 3rd one. I doubled checked and then he nullified it. Again he punched in the numbers but I think he randomly selected the deposit amounts against each category of the recyclable materials. I received less amount than the one he punched earlier when he made the blunder.Beware of what the cashiers give you back and request everyone to please recheck the deposit amounts. I'm pretty disappointed with this as everyone collects all the recyclables, spend time and fuel to go to sarcan with the expectation that they'll get the exact amount that was charged/kept as deposit.

Efficient quick service ... i do like the drop off option and you can just get an e-transfer of the funds later...

Great covid-19 protocols for your bottle/can returns. Be patient and the lines move quite fast. Try the drop and go also if you don't want to wait as long. Staff are incredibly helpful and very friendly.

Super frustrating trying to set up an account for drop and go. Entered info 3 times and nothing. The gentleman helping me was very good and took care of my issues. Must have been a problem with their system certainly not their fault.

There’s increasing reports of people being shorted their refunds from this location.Don’t drop and go here and pre-count your empties. Tell them when you bring them in that they are pre counted.
