KCJ Electric

KCJ Electric was a subcontractor on our recent renovation and we found them particularly easy to deal with. Kevin's work on our house was thorough, neat and efficient and our entire main floor is lit up better than we expected it would be, on time and on budget. I won't hesitate to recommend KCJ for any residential job.

Kevin did a fantastic job for a large list of electrical work we needed as part of our A/C and garage heater installation. We needed to expand our electrical panel to support more wiring as well as a load miser to manage our sauna and A/C. All the work was done on time and Kevin was very good at explaining all the details of the work we needed. He was tidy and organized, only making holes where required and covering them cleanly.His cable management skills are top notch, see attached image.

I called KCJ electric to fix a mess that my previous electrical contractor let for me and troubleshoot a couple issues. Well Kevin was not only on time he new exactly what the issues were and had it fixed in the time he quoted me . Wow that doesn’t happen very often . Extremely professional ,and will be calling him back to work for us on future projects.And also he’s registered with the BBB . Don’t waste your time call KCJ electric and rest assured that your not going to be disappointed.

Kevin took his time to thoroughly access the job and provided an accurate quote. This assured me I could count on him to complete the electrical work I needed done. He finished all the work along with my extra request; explained every thing as he went along and checked that I was happy with results before he left.

A couple of weeks ago a tenant contacted me at 9:51 am saying a fuse blew in the house and lights in parts of the house would not turn on. I have zero knowledge with anything to do with repairs let alone electrical repairs. I immediately messaged Kevin asking him what his thoughts were. After a few messages back and forth with the tenant and Kevin I asked if Kevin wouldn’t mind calling the tenant directly to see if he could troubleshoot over the phone first. He messaged back to say he would need to go to the site and check it out.Once he arrived he messaged me the picture and what the issue was, asked if he could go ahead with the repairs and sent me the picture of the newly installed plug. He provided me the reason for the burnout and he was done quickly and efficiently.At 12:21 pm the tenant messaged me to say “Kevin came and fixed the plug. He was fantastic and thanks so much for taking care of it so quickly.”Life gets so busy. It’s so great to know that there are people out there that we can truly rely on to get the work done honestly and reliably. We all really appreciated Kevin’s expedient service that day as well.Kevin truly does do more than he quotes for. I would have no issue with referring him to anyone else that needs electrical work or repairs done.

I was in a tight spot yesterday and required an electrician in very short notice. I found Kevin on Facebook, made a call and he was at my house within the hour! Kevin is a great guy with a friendly and patient demeanour. He solved my issue, gave me some great advice and charged me a fair rate for his service. I highly recommend him and will be calling him again next time I have another electrical issue. Thanks again Kevin.

Kevin is extremely knowledgeable and easy to work with. His work is clean and high quality. Really appreciated that he spent a little extra time providing some insight on potential future electrical work that we might need in the future. Highly recommend KCJ Electrical. Kevin was very skilled in dealing with an old house and it's electrical challenges. I was very happy with the rewiring, the outdoor work, the handling of the inspection and Enmax and the transfer from the old braker box to the new one located in another area of the house. The work was done in a timely manner and things were put back together and the areas left clean. I would recommend Kevin and KCJ team as a quality company and am very happy with their work.

My husband and I have had nothing but great experiences with Kevin and his team. They first installed a set of pot lights in our kitchen and took extra time to help us understand the process and the implications of the electrical decisions we were making. Next, they installed a chandelier ~15 feet in the air and did a fantastic job. The structure of the light meant it didn’t sit exactly flush with the roof and Kevin helped explain to me why this was the case and evaluate next steps. He and his team also changed all the outlets in my home and they were super easy to have around for the day. Kevin is responsive, he is very transparent with his quoting and more than that, he is someone you can feel very comfortable having in your home. He is professional and we have been 100% satisfied with his work - highly recommend.

Kevin was very fast on responding to a call. we had a different electrician before who has conditions in where or how to place a light fixture, says he can only do a linear one with a huge $$$ not very responsive to texts and sometimes doesn't show up on the agreed date! but Kevin was very impressive, he was very quick to respond to calls, shows up on the agreed appointment and he did the installation by how we want the switches and where we want the light, will definitely recommend and use his services again!-Claire
