This is not a charity shop. It's a for-profit business, funneling donations away from the Salvation Army, at the other end of the plaza. (Which was there first). They give a percentage of the donations people put in the Diabetes boxes to the foundation, and it's based on weight. The stuff you drop off to them becomes 100% profit. Think before you give them your used things.

Clothes are in excellent shape in a wide variety of styles. Jackets can be a bit pricey IMO but I can always seem to find one for a reasonable price if I look thoroughly. Most staff is very friendly although I feel like I'm always being followed by one of them when I'm shopping. That's the only negative I have to say about VV otherwise I give 5 stars!

Great store, clean and organized but prices are getting too high. Many items 2-3x what they should be.

I can’t support this store anymore, they have no cashiers and when I asked they told me to use self check out. Also their prices continue to increase while they cut peoples jobs.

The biggest used item store in Thunder Bay. Everything you need may be found here. The issues are price and tax. If you don’t care about price, come and pick up. The electronics area is my favourite. I can find the virtual glasses, speakers with reasonable price. I bought my snow pants here just 24$ and it did work perfectly for me in the passed three years. One lovely thing is clothings for kids within the reasonable price and variety.

Terrable service from the two women working the front, March 6 2023 day shift, showed very little respect to an elderly woman while at self checkout, they treated her like she was stupid, very egnorant employees.,When she advised them she had 40 yrs experience in retail, they talked over her, they could not figure out how to add a coupon to her purchase, even though she informed them of what they were doing wrong. The still proceeded with ignorance toward her. Aweful customer service, she probably won't be back. Considering as she said she donates alot there, I hope she goes elsewhere with her donations. These young girls are ignorant, errogant and should not be working with the public.

Good location to buy refurbished stuff. The cost of items is low and the quality is good. I also like the concept behind the store.Great place to visit and buy the stuff for home related stuff. Better choice while looking for old items.

Bought some things marked 1.99. When I got home upon closer inspection found Dollarama 1.25 stickers on items. Also had a negative experience at checkout. No tills were open except the self checkout, while I was checking out an employee kept going through my packed bags and stopping me to make manager adjustments and ring in items that I had just done. Several times I had to point out to her that the item was already charged. Despite this when I got home and went over the receipt sure enough several items were double charged due to the behaviour of this employee. I was with a 1 year old and really did appreciate this time consuming and invasive check out process. Not to mention they do not offer change rooms and so as expected several items don't fit but to really make matters worse a handful of the items that don't fit were the double charged items!

Store has a lot of selection, but unfortunately the way they have implemented the self serve stations make it not worth shopping for a lot of items. For example, if you have 100 children's books, at $1.59 each, you can just enter QTY 100 and scan $1.59. You have to actually scan 100 books. And the VV barcode is so close to other barcodes that the scanning doesn't work most the time. I made it to about 13 books before giving up. Be sure to count your labor costs and frustration when you are considering the sticker prices.

Probably if you get to thunder bay and want to find something cheap and of good quality you should go to this Syrian, you can find clothes, games, appliances and everything you can imagine, it also has promotions every month where you can get things almost for free, I recommend this site since it also has the Salvation Army next door, which will allow you to find very cheap things that will help you during your first days in Canada or if you want to start building your home
