It's the only place anyone should get produce. I hope it stays forever, I don't think I could afford to eat without it.

You can definitely find some well-priced items here, but some things are more affordable elsewhere (bananas for instance are always cheaper at the Food Basics next door). The produce quality varies. One thing I don't like is that the receipts don't break down the purchases by item and weight. This makes it hard to double-check the purchases for errors. They also have a minimum charge for debit card use, but it's fairly low (single digits) so a non-issue for me. Might be an issue for others, however.

Great spot for reasonable fruits and vegetables. Friendly staff but blunt. Could be cleaner but the price beats grocery store for better fruits and vegetables.

This market is my main destination for all my produce now: they have a wide variety of high-quality fruits and vegetables at low prices. I highly recommend checking this place out so you can get much fresher produce than in the grocery stores nearby.

Cheapest prices for fruit and vegetables that I’ve encountered in the GTA. Lately the store has been getting a lot busier but the staff members are fast and efficient when it comes to ringing through purchases, so even long lines don’t equate to a long wait time. The prices are ridiculously good here...almost dangerously so. I always end up buying too many fruits and vegetables.I would suggest checking this store for any produce you need to buy before going to food basic next door as the prices are considerably lower here

Bad customer service! Well, used to be a regular customer, but not anymore. A girl who used to be a cashier there was always nice, great person but this time I saw a man not even asking for a plastic bag even though I bought a bag of mandarins. I was willing to pay for whatever it costs for the plastic bag. But come on!! I had bunch of other stuff to carry and did not have a bag. And when I asked for a plastic bag, he was gonna give me a thin bag for veges not a real bag and then gave the real bag when I specifically asked for it with saying I can pay for it so give me. Jis! Rude! It's freaking 10cents man!!!! Cannt you just ask me if I need a bag and it's 10cents? I felt really baaaad!!

Cheap, fresh fruits and vegetables from a pillar of St. James Town's community. Thanks for providing healthy food for a good price. Note the $10 minimum charge for debit, no credit cards accepted.

I live in the immediate area and a few years ago I would have given them at least 3 stars. But what was already a mediocre experience is now terrible. Where do I begin? Well here's a big one; I'm 99% sure they do all of the following: theu buy the old produce from other grocery stores in the area that those stores are no longer willing to sell and then they repackage it for a minimal discount. They place stickers over blemishes on the products, and in some cases have even taken expired salad kits, opened them and repackaged them in unmarked produce bags. Some of their produce is brand new and fresh, but these products are priced well above food basics which is directly next door. We barely buy anything from them anymore because the quality of their produce is so poor and is typically completely spoiled within a day. They also take berries that are spoiled, remove a few from the top layer and put fresh ones on the top to lead you to believe the whole package is fresh. They leave heaps of produce that should be refrigerated and place it out in the heat and direct sunlight for the entire day attracting bees and wasps. Their grapes are just compost. Apart from the cashier, nobody speaks English or can answer even basic questions. And last but not least, the girl that works the cash in the evening is very rude. She used to be friendly but the pandemic seems to have worn her out. Asian fruit markets are usually a treasure trove of deals and unique fruits and vegetables, but this place is just janky.

Fresh and affordable produce! They have locally-grown fruits and vegetables too. I'm so glad I came across this store and will definitely be a regular.

Now called Wellesley Fruit Market. Great people. Decent fruit. Great prices. Produce surrounds the outside of the store when open. They dry fruit and cut up melons, etc
