JB Carpentry

We built a small cottage a few years ago and lucky for us we found Jesse to do some of the carpentry work for us. We first hired Jesse to do our interior staircase. He sourced some hard-to-find white oak for us at a reasonable price and custom designed the rail and did a fabulous job.We then got him to create a storage area under our stairs to maximize the space and even though I did not have a plan, I explained the look I was after, and he once again nailed it. Finally, we had him do our ceiling and we wanted to use some reclaimed wood to add some character to our modern place. He once again sourced some excellent wood, and I can’t even explain the level of perfection the installation was. It is just unbelievable. Everyone who sees it comments on how good it looks. I don’t know how he did it but he managed to create PERFECT straight lines and the edges around the drywall are so neat and tidy you would swear it was wallpaper, but it is OLD reclaimed wood.The care and attention to detail Jesse puts into every project is simply the best in the business that we have ever come across. He is extremely dependable and honest. He provides quotes and sticks to it and goes above and beyond. We then hired him to do some outside stairs against a stone landing. Most contractors would just cut it square but he took the time to cut the wood so it actually fits into the jagged stone edges. Again, amazing quality workmanship and attention to detail! Not only is he an exceptionally talented carpenter but he is just an extremely nice man. He lives near our cottage and when we recently had a major issue there, he kindly went to check it out for us and did a lot of the exploratory investigation work that revealed some major plumbing problems. He would not charge us for this! He is just a genuine, hard-working kind soul and if you need a dependable and talented craftsman with great ideas, attention to detail and fair pricing, then do not hesitate to book Jesse if you are lucky enough to secure his time!
