This is one of my favorite sushi restaurants I have ever visited. It is a little pricey, and occasionally you can get slow wait-staff, but I have also had an amazing waitress that was fantastic with my toddler. She was careful to keep all sharp objects and hot plates out of my daughter's reach, and was very courteous. We have also had it delivered to our home, and the delivery was surprisingly fast. Also - The Winni Roll is absolutely fantastic! I don't typically order warm sushi, but this one is amazing.

Genuinely the worst restaurant experience of my life. We went on a Saturday evening and it was not busy at all, yet it took an hour for my boyfriend and I to receive our rolls. Apparently there was a misunderstanding with the kitchen and at no time did the server decide to let us know until we'd been waiting an hour and were late for a social engagement. We received lukewarm soup after 45 minutes and a half-hearted apology when our food came. The rolls were poorly made with very little rice. The server decided it was more important to chat in the back with her coworkers than to see if we wanted drink refills, which means we ate dinner without any sort of beverage. No discount or refund was offered to us for our inconvenience. Please give your dining dollars to one of the many sushi restaurants in the city who take pride in their food and service, as there is no shortage of wonderful sushi restaurants in this city. This is not one of them.

One of the worst sushi experiences I've had (and I eat a lot of sushi and have tried plenty of different places in the city). Very disappointed in the price for the Volcano roll which was 14.95 and came out looking like a roll that maybe should have cost 7$ tops. The tempura roll and crunchy roll were ok but also overpriced and the TNT roll was awful, but for the portion I think it was priced alright. It was very busy so I understand it taking a while to get the food but the service itself wasn't great. Anywho, I don't like to be negative towards restaurants but it really was not a good experience for me and my friend.

This is by far the worse sushi i have ever had in my life. I thought it would be a great experience judging from the reviews and I was so excited to have found affordable sushi that tasted good but nope.I ordered 3 platters of sushi, Kani maki, spicy salmon and bakudan, that was 18 rolls in total and I was given only one small container of soy sauce. I thought that would be fine since I barely use soy sauce when eating but the sushi was so dry and tasteless that it made the lack of soy even worse. As much as I would like to say something nice about my experience, the only good thing was that it was a lot for a small price but it was not worth it at all

One of the worst restaurants in Winnipeg! Overpriced! 2 nights ago, we ordered L sushi tray (nigiri+rolls) for about 100 dollars, Korean sizzling cheesy chicken dish and Korean sizzling squid dish. We had been here once years back before. We had a good experience at that time. Today, I think it's under a new management. As soon as we came in, the restaurant was dim and sad. I had a bad feeling about it. We should have left right then! There were only 2 people working there - the chef and 1 server. We were not greeted right away. We were standing waiting for the server for a few minutes to sit us. There was a big TV, unplugged on a very dusty table with some cords behind it, in the main dining area. Our table was sticky. The menu was very long. Sushi were very bland. Rolls all taste the same. Very skimp on the ingredients. Compared to other sushi trays in the city, I felt it was really a rip off! Nigiri was served last. We were almost finished eating when nigiri was served. Good portions on nigiri though. Both korean dishes have the same ingredients almost and same flavor - mostly bean sprouts and onions. Not good! Squid is not fresh and fishy. Very disappointing overall! Our server only checked on us once! She did not even asked how was our food ( I would say not good). Our bill came to almost 170 dollars for bad food and service! I will never be back to this restaurant ever again! That night, my stomach felt funny as well. Avoid this restaurant if you can! What a disgrace to Japanese cuisine!

The Sushi was the most amazing sushi I have ever had in my life. The decor was great and everything about the restaurant was great... BUT the service.Today at supper time my mom and I decided to go and have some sushi. As I said it was supper time, we were hungry after a long day at work. When we looked at the parking lot, it was full and mom and I agreed not to go there if there is a long waiting time. But to our surprise there were only like 4 table taken. So we took a booth which was a very nice and Asian style. It took the server about 5 minutes to come to us. She handed us a BOOK of all different menu options, but they were not attached to each other... Things got messy and out of place. After we ordered our food we waited for about 30-40 minutes for the food to arrive. Again there was nobody there. They had a couple of to go orders in place but that is about it. Only one server. We finished our food in no time. So for 21 pieces of Sushi we paid $40..... with no drinks.... we wanted green tea but since everything took so long we changed our minds. Any way it took us another 10 minutes to receive the bill.We were there for more than an hour, did not get enough food as we hoped we would considering the prices, and very slow service.I would come back for the food... but that's a maybe.

Would not recommend this place. The sushi was subpar especially when compared to price.

This restaurant had a great first impression. Big sign on the road which had SUSHI in big bold writing. We were starving - so we went! The atmosphere itself felt like a Western Saloon with tasteful decor. It also has a beautiful Asian mural painting. But - our second impression was disappointing. One whiff of the place and you'd almost lose your appetite. It smelled as if they wiped down every surface with a mixture of bleach, Mr. Clean and Windex. Not very appetizing. We ordered meals from the dinner combo section and were disappointed with the portion size.Their Combo" Sushi dinner was a California roll

8pm on a Monday Night (April 24, 2017).Read on ....The place was empty with no other diners until we were leaving around 9:15pm.Waitress said to sit wherever we pleased, we chose a spot and as we are sitting she asks us to move to another table instead. We agree, although I personally don't see an issue considering every single table was empty. After we placed our order, she had returned to let us know they had run out of Toro Nigiri, but instead of removing it from my bill you can see in the photo she charged me anyway. That order should have been removed from the bill or not even punched in at all. Bad waitress considering she had nothing to do and nobody else to look after and she could have easily removed it after she told me they ran out. Really disappointed.Ordered -Shrimp Tempura ($12.95) - Do not waste your money. They batter was not crispy, the shrimp was soggy and gel like. Had no flavour to it. The dipping sauce didn't help it.Salmon Bakudan ( $5.95) - Just a big roll stuffed with tempura crumbs and salmon the width size of half a dime. Dinky. Will not order this again. And do not order this at all.Golden Dragon ($14.95) - Big roll. Really saucy. Only problem is the sauce isn't that great. Didn't do much for me.Scorpion ($15.95) - This roll was decent. It actually tasted not that bad. Not the greatest special roll" I've had

Little pricey but definitely tasty. Went for dinner. I ordered the spicy salmon/tuna combination plate and a side order of bc roll. Combo plate was 12.50 for two rolls and miso soup, and like 7$ for the bc roll. It was all tasty. Nothing mind blowing but no complaints. Service was adequate and we were checked on multiple times.
