Dan is always willing to take time out of his busy day to talk on the phone about anything from orders to new product ideas.There website is a comprehensive ordering platform and is for that reason a bit of a struggle to figure out at first. But give it a little time and it's super easy to work with.From a massive selection, pre-ordering abilities, to goodie box options to hold multiple orders if needed temporarily, PWRS has you covered!

PWRS is set up for whales" who spend huge amounts on a regular basis. They have a convoluted website that you have to "learn" how to use by having an agent call you. Their expectation that is communicated over the phone is you check back regularly and spend hundreds of dollars each time.Frankly this business is completely out of touch with the regular hobbyist and seems entirely designed around parting older

I like the selection and the pricing is fair but one time i went in to get a cn rail gp40-2w and that weekend when i went to buy it. I got there and the owner dan was on the phone and i asked where the locomotive was and he got mad at me for not ordering it off the web site. The web site is to complicated at least for me. Im only 15 years old i didint know i had to order it off the website to have it ready this was the first time using the site its to complicated for somebody like me to use so.Stores goodLacked good service that day30 % chance of returning

I just completed my first order with Pacific Western Rail Systems and could not be happier. Shipping was fast despite the Covid-19 shutdown and shipping costs were fair. The quality of the NARC hoppers that I ordered cannot be beat. So much detail, excellent paint and free rolling trucks. I highly recommend this model railroad supplier.

I've been doing business with PWRS since I first got into N scale model railroading. I'm not even sure how I found their web site, but I am very happy I did. PWRS has a huge selection of N scale locos, rolling stock and accessories, everything you could ask for. I like the fact you can buy products and save them until you are ready to have them shipped to save on costs ( goodies box) and the Porters Points rewards are a nice bonus. PWRS has never let me down once, they package your goods very well and ship extremely fast. Navigating their web site is super easy and efficient. I like their emails telling you about new and upcoming products and pre orders. Keep up the great work PWRS

Their prices can be on the high side. I would shop around to modeltrainstuff.com, High Country Hobbies, Otter Valley Railroad, ebay, or facebook groups. I have not purchased from pwrs in over a decade and not interested in starting up again. Their website needs a complete overhaul. I know they will reply trying to show that they care. I had to return a few athearn locomotives that had missing part issues and one time they sent me N scale KATO locomotives instead of the HO version. I find sometimes the staff to lack empathy and to be arrogant.

PWRS is great. Even if you have to create a account and learn how to use the platform, Its still great. I ordered 3 things from them and they came fast and safe. I live in the US and ordering from them is super easy. Even if the prices are a little steep its still worth it because they have a lot of stock that is sold out at other hobby shops which is great.

This company provides unexcelled and personalized customer service! I was contacted first by a person who assisted me in setting up my own unique account, and then that was followed up by an extremely courteous and patient lady who walked me through" their website and how to search for items that I wanted. The company has wonderful items for the model railroading world and their personnel are absolutely top-notch!"

I worked with both Dan and Hana on a larger order of K+S cars and can’t speak highly enough about Hana’s superb customer service. Great customer service, inventory and fair prices (and sales). I suggest to sign up with their Porters program, worth while getting the tutorial from their staff. Great place to get in on various brands pre orders too. I've been a regular for several years, you can shop with confidence with PWRS.
