I am writing on behalf of my partner, who used this service for his rental. Completely trash company. They took no immediate action when his unit flooded not once, but twice. They took their sweet time with contractors, and by the end of his 1 year term, it still was not completely finished. When it came to the walkout, they do not take into consideration their CLIENTS time (partner had to leave work one day, and had to ask a relative to do the second walk through when the first did not happen). It was agreed upon to have a walk through on a Sunday. The staff member was utterly disgusting to deal with to make a commitment happen for such walk through. To have her not come on the Sunday, and not respond to his calls the day off. She stated she ‘would absolutely not make an appointment on a Sunday’. Which is a complete lie. I was witness to such phone call where she agreed. I might also add her tone was not one of a true professional who values their clients. My partner had his apartment cleaned immaculately, except for the carpets (which he knew was a cost, not a bother to him). They stiffed his DD $275 for the carpets and ‘extra cleaning’. Excuse me?! This rental was not large by any means - a single bath and two bedroom - and $275 was needed for carpets and additional cleaning?! Utter blasphemy. They never corrected anything that was met as unsatisfactory on the initial walk through on day 1, and even tried kicking my partner out of his unit early, even though he was legally entitled to stay until his term was finished. This company is one of the top most unprofessional companies I have barred witness to and will absolutely NEVER recommend to anyone moving to Red Deer. Trust the other honest reviews. Also, take not of the other sites where their ratings are severely low. This is not a trustworthy company.

We have been working with Steven for some years and he has done an amazing job. He always responds in a timely manner and manages our residential complex issues in a timely and professional manner.I see some reviews mentioning that the company is terrible to deal with; well unfortunately they are here to make sure the rules are followed and follow instructions of the condo board. I can see how this may upset some tenants/owners. I would recommend the services of this company and of Steven in particular.

Would give zero stars. Worst management company I have ever dealt with in over 20 years in Alberta. Did not fulfill basic contract requirements, failed to pay utility bills, did not hire contractors for work when requested. Constant irregularities and errors with our finances. Did not adequately respond to concerns regarding the same, if at all. Nothing good to say. Completely incompetent. Once we switched management companies, we discovered even more financial errors. We were lucky. Condo corporations: STAY AWAY from Red Key.

I use to deal with Red Key a few years ago. I moved in and had my walk through the house with the maintenance man should of knew right then that I wasn’t getting my deposit back. The house was disgusting when I moved in. I can’t even explain. I spent hours cleaning it. After a year I decided to move out and gave them a month notice and I paid for the full month but moved into my new place in the middle of the month. I gave myself some extra time to clean it up. The girl who comes to do my walk through was so rude and said it wasn’t clean it was a extremely old house so it was hard to make it perfect like the hard wood floors were scratches up when I moved in and she blamed it on me. (I didn’t get any of my deposit back) But trust me it was WAY more cleaner then when I moved in and on top of that they kept asking me when it be ready to have the move out walk through. Super annoying because I had 15days to do what I needed. And still did it 5days earlier for them. All in all DONT RENT WITH THEM EVER! Worst company ever. And I know the people who moved into my old house and they said it wasn’t fixed from the few things they said they would do.

Moved in to a disgusting place even though was assured it would be clean, no incentives or bonus for having to clean. Almost all the plumbing was clogged and it took over a week to get maintenance over. Requested 3 times for weather stripping on my front door, had to do it myself. Ignores maintenance requests, doesnt follow proper procedure for inspections. Any time I have to call i'm dealing with a new person who doesn't understand the system. Rental companies are leeches.

At beginning, we’re having trouble getting ahold of anyone but when they return our calls and email, we actually save a lot of time and stress, they assisted us in easy and friendly way so we won’t have to deal with tedious tasks. This alone is reason enough for us to rate Redkey team Red deer 5 stars services. Nancy thank you very much for helping us with straightforward process.

Julie goes above and beyond. Answers back quickly with any concerns I may have. Always on top of it. It has been a pleasure to work with her. I have had positive dealings with Red Key, and they had the washer up and running the day after the maintenance request was put in. Prompt service!

I'd give them a negative 5 star if I could. Extremely overpriced on their condo fees and under delivery on services. It takes them months just to do minor repairs. I've seen their budget and as a paying customer i wonder where my money's going. Maybe come the plow snow. I pay a mortgage on my house, but heaven forbid my son leaves his bike out for 1 night I get threatened with fines. I honestly can't wait to sell my property and never deal with these crooks again. I had high hopes when they took over manor management but I guess that hope was farfetched.

They collect town house association fees from roughly 50 units where I live. About $150 a month roughly. I have zero idea where that money goes. I've lives in this complex for coming on 6 years soon and ever since they took over management things have gone down hill. This past winter the parking lot we all park in here was never plowed once. The ruts became so deep that work vans and residents vehicles were getting stuck and was almost undriveable. They only plowed it when numerous people, at least 10, complained about the issue. When they did plowed it, they took out a bunch of the speed bumps with thier plows. Past few months has had some people move in and out, the tenats would throw large chunk of furniture and matressses when they moved out, completely filling the dumpsters and making them.unusable and red key never came out to clean up the mess, they'd just wait for the trash trucks to come out. One of the dumpster areas is completely filthy and surrounded by litter and trash that was blown out of the dumpsters, and has never been cleaned out. I've seen multiple needles behind the dumpster in a Grove of trees and complained about it and yet still, nothing has been done. AND NOW, currently, the yard work going on here is a complete joke. They hired one guy, who has no crew except maybe his wife and they have been here trying to get caught up all week when it was supposed to be done on Thursday. There was piles of grass left piled up for a few days, they just blew all the debris into the parking lot and leave it, don't even bother to pick it up, and works very slowly. Some of the residents here have taken to doing thier own yard work and they came through with an aerator and ruined some really nice lawns that never needed aerating at all, and the mess still hasn't been cleaned up. The backyards also have not been touched yet. They collect roughly $7500 a month from all the units here and this is the only lawn care service they can afford?!? In past years before they took over the property management there was never an issue like this. Yard work and snow clearing was always done on time and done well. Truly disappointing.i have no idea what the people on the town house committee are thinking but this is a complete joke. Absolutely awful company to deal with. Borderline theft for the quality of property management that is being provided, absolute joke. We need new management company and a new board of members on the association. Truly horrendously awful horrible service. Hire or rent from them at your own risk.

Red key stands for red flag if your a renter. If you have a propertie u want to rent yeah they probably will do good for you as they gouge the tenant. If you are to rent I recommend to stay far, far, away. I had a unit for over a year with them. Currently am giving them 45 days notice and they want to charge me for the full month next month. Which according to the agreement should not be happening. Crooks on behalf of the owners.
