Great place to be traditionally Scheeched in. Lots of fun. Meet so many different people from Canada and the United States.It costs $32 per person to be Scheeched in, but as a tourist, it was worth it

Wow!! We had an amazing time being “screeched in” at Christian’s. We were travelling with a large group from Ontario. (14) Lukey made it a very special experience we will never forget!

I love love Christians. It’s been a staple on George street for years but the music selection has become less than desirable. I’m so for an eclectic selection but it’s leaning too much on rap and hip-hop. Don’t get me wrong I love all types of music but I just want a bit more variety.

We really enjoyed this experience. Luke was entertaining, welcoming, and fun. We were amongst 12-14 other guests being screeched in and he remembered all our names. Impressive. This place was highly recommended by friends for us to go and get “screeched in” and it did not disappoint. This guy is doing it right.

I was here last week with my wife who is from Newfoundland, to get “screeched in” and we had a great time! The owner did a great job, put on a fantastic show and everyone who was there looked like they had a great time and experience. However, a family came in and he had to tell them to leave because it is a 19+ establishment. The mother seemed bothered by this, saying no one told her. He was very respectful in his responses but they still left annoyed. This is a bar. On George street that is famous for their bars. With liquor and cigarette items in plain view. This is not a place for kids. Before you leave a bad review do your research! However, we had a lot of fun and would totally recommend it to any ADULT looking to get screeched in! Thanks again!

We came here to get screeched in and I can honestly say that Luci made the evening so incredibly memorable with his story telling style and seamless weaving of Newfoundland culture and history into the event. We had a great time and would recommend this experience to everyone.

Fun place to get screeched in! We had our ceremony complete with eating balognie, kissing the cod, taking a shot of screech, and learning a lot of history and linguistics about Newfoundland. Great time!

Brought my boyfriend from Switzerland to be screeched in. Was going to go elsewhere but someone recommended Christian’s Pub. I was very disappointed. I’ve witnessed a lot of screech ins and have been screeched in myself in the past. The guy doing the screech in seemed moody and slightly rude. He also forgot to include my boyfriend for one of the main activities. I found it over priced and the atmosphere was underwhelming. I plan to get him screeched in properly elsewhere.

The Screeched-In exceeded all of my expectations. It was so much fun, filled with history, humor, and camaraderie. Doing this first upon arrival to Newfoundland really set a positive mood for the remainder of our travels on the island. I also chose Christians without actually realizing Anthony Bourdain was screeched-in here, as well, which was such a lovely surprise. RIP to the legend.

It was a bit tough to find initially but a friend of mine recommended this place to get “Screeched In”, a ceremony to become an Honorary NewfoundlanderGot Screeched in on Regatta Day and it was absolutely amazing. If you want to do the ceremony, this is the place to do it. Would definitely recommend doing so here.Brian is absolutely fantastic, made you feel welcomed and is very genuine. My takeaway from him was “always remember to be kind” and “Newfoundland is the best” which I have to say it’s definitely up there in the places I’ve visited
