I wouldn’t give any stars. I just want this review posted. I have 2 sons with severe cerebral palsy and for the last 1 1/2 years have been in a process to replace their chairs and seating. Both boys are medically fragile. Our first 3 appointments were botched by the Sales rep not contacting the occupational therapist, or the OT forgetting the appointment or the sales rep quitting and leaving the company and clients hanging. Each of these appointments was very difficult as we have to arrange transport there and back. We ended up 3 times having to wait hours for our return ride home. When finally we get a sales rep, Jenny Jackson she offer to come to our home. I gladly accepted this offer. She arrived with a ride representative and an OT. None of these people knew my son’s or their needs nor would they listen to my concerns. The OT just rubber stamped what ever Jenny said . Jenny would not listen to me or my long term PSWs who have been through seating in the past. I was assured this Ride seating would work. The fitting was in may of 2022. The chairs and seating arrived unannounced at my house in Feb 2023. I was not home. I was not informed. Jenny arrived 40 mins after the Motion personal arrived with the chairs. The motions personal was extremely rude with the PSW’s who were home with my sons. No Ride representative or OT was present. When I arrived home I was totally appalled with the seating fit and we put the boys back into their old chairs. We’ve had repeated visits by a tech to fix the seating which is totally inappropriate for my son’s given the severity of their conditions. Jenny would not listen to me at all and acted as if she knew best… but not once did she or the OT do any hands on assessment. My sons are 37 years old so I’m pretty sure I have a good grasp of how this works. We are still waiting today July 14 for an appointment to reseat the boys. We’ve been dealing with pressure sores on their legs and bums but none of this seems to matter. I am so frustrated at not being heard by this company. I have written a private concern but only received a call from another sales rep at the company back in May that has taken over this total screw up by Motions. Unfortunately my sons remain victims of this system.

My husband, Bill, and I had the great pleasure of dealing with Richard Mackenzie from Motion. Richard’s knowledge, professionalism and patience with us was outstanding. We found he and his company to be both fair and honest. Richard went out of his way to make sure we had what we needed in a chair lift, so Bill felt safe and comfortable. My wife and I have arranged to have her mother move in with us. She has mobility issues and was going to be discharged from hospital early. Richard Mackenzie was my sales rep. Richard knew that we were on a time crunch because of the early hospital release. Lucky for us a slot was opened up and we had the new stair lift installed the next day. Richard was great and very professional. He was awesome in the consultation phase of the sales process. Knowledgeable about the different solutions that were available for us. Richard’s priority is to take care of his clients and provide the best solution for them. His compassion and desire to help people and make their lives better with assisted devices was detectable at the very beginning of our interaction. Would strongly recommend using Richard Mackenzie if you are in need of assisted devices for mobility in the home.

Just wanted to share our experience with Motion. First of all thank you to Richard who contacted me to set up the stairlift for my father. He was very professional, helpful and very knowledgeable. My father has gained back his freedom with the stairlift making it easier to get upstairs and out of the house. Even though it was explained that the stairs may take a little while to arrive (due to shipping/ special orders) it arrived sooner than expected, which my father was very pleased with. Thank you again motion and especially Richard for making the experience go smoothly from start to finish!

Richard Mackenzie gave us a quote for an access ramp and delivered on time and on budget.Always updated us on delivery times and is a pleasure to deal with. Completely satisfied customer.

I recently had a porch lift installed for my daughter. I used Motion because I had used them in the past, and had a good experience. I am happy to say, I was not disappointed this time either. Richard was a great help. He responded quickly to every question I had, and worked with me respectfully. I’m very happy with my latest project with Motion.

His heart for helping others was immediately evident. Our staircase is narrow and odd but he worked through these difficulties and got us the lift. We are very pleased with the outcome. Richard (Barrie location) and his team were wonderful to deal with, as were the ladies at the store location when we initially went in. Stair lift was installed quickly and they took the time to make sure mom was comfortable using it before heading out. Would highly recommend!

Richard and the team at Motion were great to work with. Richard was responsive and extremely respectful in supporting my 90 year old Grandparents through the purchase and installation of a new Stairlift for their home in Bradford.
