Helping Hands Daycare Westney

This is an amazing daycare, my daughter has been going here for over a year and all the staff are so friendly, have constant supervision on all the kids and encourage the kids to learn new skills. Angie is an awesome director remembering the kids names and setting such an inviting environment everyday. I appreciate everything this daycare has done for me and couldn't have found a better daycare for my girl.

We love Helping Hands Westney my daughter has being going since she was 18 months and is now 3. All the teachers have been very helpful, and she does so many things, and has even learned how to write letters! Angie is fantastic, a five star person all around. They are always so caring, and we’re very helpful working through the potty training phase. My newborn will be starting later this year.

My son has really enjoyed the time at Helping Hands. The teachers have been very supportive from the beginning when my son was having a hard time adjusting. They have always been accommodating and trying to make him comfortable. They always organize fun activities and try to keep children having fun.

Helping Hands Daycare in Ajax has been amazing for our family! The process of selecting a daycare for parents can be overwhelming (as a parent I can definitely attest to that!) However, from the start Angie (supervisor) and their staff were amazing in answering questions we had on the tour, and showing us everything that the daycare offers, that it put our minds at ease when we decided to sign our child up for this specific location (pre-covid)Once COVID hit, we were a bit scared as most parents were to send their child(ren) to daycare, but Angie and her team provided clear guidance and support throughout the entire pandemic that we felt at ease knowing our child was in a safe environment.Over the past few weeks we have been able to go back into the daycare and drop our child off, and the daycare has been great to listening to any feedback or needs we have for our child!Furthermore, the development we saw in our child since going to daycare has made us once again appreciate the decision we made in picking Helping Hands as our daycare provider as each day our child comes home in the happiest of moods!For any parent in the Durham area, we would 100% recommend this location, and a huge shoutout is in order for the staff there as they do an amazing job!HIGHLY recommend!

Making the decision for daycare is a tough one for parents. Angie made that decision easy due to her friendly, supportive, professional and caring manner. Our daughter started daycare here in the Infant Room and we have been so happy. When the pandemic hit, we were concerned about her returning to daycare, but Helping Hands Westney is so diligent with protocols and safety and we feel confident in their care. If you want a daycare that feels like a community, Helping Hands Westney has been amazing. Our daughter has recently had to switch to gluten-free and the change has been easy and seamless. She also started after the pandemic in Toddler 1 and then graduated to Toddler 2. We have been happy with all classrooms so far. Thank you Angie and the whole team at Helping Hands Westney!

Like many new moms, I was very apprehensive about how my kids would do at daycare, especially that they were extremely scared of others for the longest time. Our girls have been going to Helping Hands Daycare at Westney for about 4 months now and I can honestly say, they love it there and can't wait to go back every single day. The staff are all very caring towards our girls and we are so happy to get updates/pictures throughout the day on the HiMama app. Thank you to Angie and all the ladies at Helping Hands for making our girls feel so comfortable and happy.

We have had our children at HHDC Westney location since the reopening after Covid closures. Each classroom from infant to preschool has been amazing - the RECEs and assistants are all so knowledgeable, friendly and communicate well with parents to keep us updated. The schedule and curriculum (including fun extras) keep the kids busy and always learning. Even though it is a large centre, it is incredibly welcoming - every teacher knows every student and greets them with a big smile every morning. We have always been thrilled with our decision to trust HHDC with our children and are excited for our youngest to start there next year!

Helping Hands Daycare Westney is amazing!! The supervisor, Angie, is fantastic! She has kept everyone so well informed during the pandemic and always has a welcoming smile/positive energy during morning screening. My son has been in the toddler and preschool classrooms thus far and we have nothing but positive comments for the teachers’ kindness and care. As a whole the team organizes great events throughout the year (Terry Fox walk, Christmas visit with Santa, etc) and have found ways to continue with these special activities in a safe way during the pandemic. Would definitely recommend!!

My children have been to a few daycares, Helping Hands Daycare is far superior. They treat my kids safety and education, like it was their own family. There is no one I would trust more than them. As my daughter is almost graduating to Kindergarten, Im sad to think our years with the centre are almost over. Im so glad to have had the Helping Hands team be a part of our life.

My daughter has been at Helping Hands Westney (Ajax location) since she turned 1 in February. She has had the most amazing experience so far! The infant room staff is incredible and go above and beyond expectations. Since being at Helping Hands, I have noticed that her development has flourished. Each day she is engaged in educational and fun activities. I am that anxious mom so the HiMama app is so important to me. I love getting pictures and updates throughout the day. It is the simple things that make a parent feel at ease being away from their child.I also can’t say enough good things about the director, Angie. Since we started during the prime of Covid. I was not able to come into the daycare and have a tour. Angie was so supportive and reassured me that everything would be ok and go smoothly. She continues to be supportive and really cares about the children and families. I would 100% recommend Helping Hands Ajax.
