Renfrew Park Community Centre

This place is an absolute joke. Today was the registration day for swimming lessons. We arrived at 6:40 PM, and there were many people present, including staff to assist with in-person registration. However, all the available spots for swimming lessons were taken immediately by online registrations. As a result, no one present gets a spot and we were handed a waiting list that seemed to stretch for miles. I am incredibly frustrated with Vancouver rec centers for not addressing the issue of limited class availability, making it difficult for the general population to participate. How hard is it to have more l essings more often. It's clear the demand is there, but not the will to offer services our tax dollars subsidise.

Nice facility. The badminton court is quite big and the swimming pool is good too.Staff are very friendly too.

They had a short swimming pool about 200-250 yards. 2 stars for the preschool camp. However, when I brought my concerns to the recreation programmer he was excellent. Much appreciated.

LOVE that there's a women's only time slot for the workout room on Saturday mornings. Staff here are super nice, gym has all the equipment I need and the change room is pretty clean ☺️

I went during peak hours so this review is biased. I used the fitness center, the area is small, the equipment is limited and you get the after school crowd going their to work(hang)out. I had to find a corner and grab some dumb bells to have a workout. But I wasn't the only one. This community needs a bigger center to serve it's growing population.

I went to drop-in pickleball at Renfrew Park Community Centre. Four indoor courts setup in the gym. Players are at various levels. Players write their names on the chalkboard. Once a pickleball game is finished, the court is available for the next group. The back wall side is a little tight on space. Senior discount for 55+. Free street parking available along Nootka St. The community centre also has covered parking, swimming pool, park area, and a nice library.

Unreliable hours of operation.I purchased a gym pass and exercised in the morning, however one day I showed up only to find the place closed and other gym members arriving too only to be turned away. Turns out it was a scheduled 1 week gym closure for maintenance. I have never seen that before at any other gym. It is completely unnecessary to close a gym for maintenance. I waited the one week and returned the following Monday only to find out that the gyms hours of operation are now opening at 9:30 instead of 6:30 - again, for the purposes of maintenance." I had I look through the gym window and nothing was going on.The hours of operation for this facility are a joke. They are unreliable. My advice is get a gym pass anywhere else. Besides

that lady booting people out of the fitness centre needs to go. We managed to avoid her, but that fact that she thought people still were getting these wrist bands really shames the entire process as the people at the desk have never been able to keep up with everyone going in. The bands are useless and litter the streets around this place.

This is worse community center. People worked there have bad attitude. The service is soo poor. You bought annual pass, but most time the swimming pool, and hot tub can not use.
