Jumbo Lobster Restaurant

Was invited here by a client and was not disappointed. Great place if you have a large party or large family to feed. As pricing is quite high, definitely not a place to come too often and also hope you have room in your fridge as you will be taking home lots of leftovers. Food was pretty good, but I can only speak to what we had in the set menu that was ordered - crispy pork, deep fried oysters, lobster cooked 2 ways, king crab cooked 2 ways, steamed fish, veggies/mushroom dish.

The restaurant is busy, we made reservations at 7:15pm and it’s full when we arrive. We ordered the $226 combo and it’s enough for 5 of us. Food tastes good and looks nice too. Staff are friendly too. Keep in mind that they add 12% tips automatically on the bill and they only take cash or debit. Overall satisfied and will go back for sure.

We usually go on the weekend when the restaurant is usually full. The food quality is quite good and the portion is big. The decoration inside the restaurant is bright and comfortable. Just that the customer service is a bit mean and unacceptable. Especially the senior management, will give us the bill right the way when we stop eating, kind of like pushing us to leave immediately. Some times we enjoy chatting with friends a bit and then will continue eating, but due to the bad attitude of the management, we just don't feel that we are welcome to stay in the restaurant.

Definitely place a reservation beforehand as this place is busy!The food is great but we were upset a bit by the service and the weird rules they had in place.If you get the set meal with the roasted pork, you can only pay by cash because we got the pork. What kind of rule is that? Not everyone is casually carrying around that kind of cash. You couldn’t even pay by debit.They also forgot one of our dishes and we had to ask a few times for it to arrive.

Amazing Chinese food! Would come here with a big group as they only really do course meals. Wedding hall vibes. Super clean wash rooms. Free parking. Chairs are comfortable and you can put your bags under the table. Waiters are nice and refill the water and tea quickly. Service was fast and didn’t wait long for food. I would come back here! The food was extremely good! Especially the roasted pig. Open area so there will be screaming kids and background noise. Not suitable for a date I would say. Very classy place, you will see people dressed up but it’s not mandatory, shorts and a t shirt is fine.

The king crab and lobster here were great. They show you the live crab/lobster before cooking and often require the customer to add some money on top due to the extra weight. They were flavourful and well made. Didn’t take a photo of the dessert but it was a bit underwhelming as it was just 6 tiny pieces of pudding. The bass and oysters were very tasty and the veggies were fresh. We did order quite a lot of food and the dinner for 5 of us costed over $800 after tax and tip. They do not accept credit card so we had to pay cash.

Food was fresh and tasted good but barely any service because they’re so busy. They didn’t even put out cake inside the fridge. If you’re looking for a place with service you may want to skip here. Reservation is highly recommended or you will wait 1-2hours.Really enjoyed the roast pig and garlic steak. Lobster flavour is ok. Overall this place is a little over hyped.

Atmosphere is great very bright and vibrant. The floor at our table was messy and for such an expensive restaurant dragging lobsters in buckets isn’t ideal. Arrived with a big group and service was great. Although reading the other reviews here if you don’t come from a specific class or spend a larger sum of money you would probably be treated with less priority. Food is excellent the lobster was fresh and flavourful. Similar to how meat falls off a well cooked rib the lobster meat would come out of the shell with ease.I had a good experience but I know of others who didn’t which is why I won’t be giving 4 stars. If the service gets better would be a 5/5.

This place is not very different from other places with similar menu. The ambience and decoration is nice. They have big seafood tanks with big crabs and lobsters.We came on a weekend and a reservation is needed, this place is fully packed during weekends, not sure about weekdays though.Parking lot is available at this location.
