WOW, this is a second to none place, the food, all of it, rib bites on Monday, beef stroganoff on Tuesdays, best wings anywhere on Wednesdays, so meaty; awesome Pizza on Thursdays; beer battered fish and chips on Fridays, all appetizers special price on Saturdays...fries are fresh cut from real potatoes, wings are deep fried fresh, not precooked and heated up, as is normal. I am staying in the hotel, I am in transition, it is almost 100 years old, all nostalgia for me, a senior, they have kept the awesome history of the place, the Tavern especially, very old decor, quiet and quaint, except Wednesday wing nights, gets real noisy, but the wings, oh so good, and the fresh cut fries, to die for. Hotel rooms upstairs, have an old but modern look, walls painted a dark gray, white trim... oh so nostalgic, in a little village, population 300, surrounded by farmland, grain and cattle galore, God's country, really, the farmers are the salt of the land, as we Christians are the salt of the earth...a 10, out of 5, really...I just might stay here, forever!!

The food was OK. The service - not so much.Follow up: After they saw my review they contacted me and said they'd make it up on my next visit. We returned late October to see of it was any better. She said she would look after my bill. They ended up knocking $10 of my $75 bill. Yeah not what I would call being taken care of. I won't be returning.

Love this place, it reminds me of home. Wings are great with so many choices of flavors. If you like a fantastic gravy, then go here. It is cozy with awesome wait staff.

Stopped in for dinner and we were all excited and ready to have some drinks. We didn't even get a look, no acknowledgement, no nothing. Waited for 20 minutes and then left so we could make it to Strathmore before other places closed. Do not recommend.

I won a small amount of money on a VLT at this place. They didn't have enough to cover my winnings. The owner was not sympathetic whatsoever. l mentioned that If they don't have enough to cover their vlts, they shouldn't have them. She got angry with me. I told her I wouldn't be back and I'd go to the nearby town that is closer to me. She said Go ahead". As much as I like to support small town businesses

We stopped in for supper as we were driving by! We had the best handmade pizza! It was fresh and delish! While worth the time it took to bake it. We will be back.

We Went in for all you can eat fish and chips for $13.99 along with wings and quesadillas. All you can eat is actually an extra $2.00 for more fish.... Was told the wings were saucy, but came dry....asked for sauce and had to pay extra for it. Quesadillas was vegetarian with raw vegetables! The kicker was when I chose to have an icecream, two scoops. . They have me two scoops, but maybe a 1/4 of a cup in all for $4.00. Don't recommend, as they don't seem to know what they are doing.

Wednesday is wing night. $7.50 a pound and they have about 50 flavors ... most you would never even dream could be put on wings. They are good sized wings and really good. Not greasy at all. Service is fantastic, fun and friendly!

June 20, 2021 Update. The all you can eat Fish & Chips is no more but the three pieces was filling.The Friday night Fish and Chips were very tasty and the service friendly. This is a typical small town prairie hotel/pub that serves the local surrounding community, tourists, work and service crews. I found the people friendly and establishment inviting.
