Ritchie Lake Park
The following review is leaning to the kid/teen side of the spectrum, and as I(13) only go there to cool off I didn't like it that much.The beach does not get deeper. The mud does. If you're okay with a knee-deep dunk then it's for you (if you don't mind the millions of floating dust-debris or whatever that disgusting thing is). Or if you just wanna walk around or lie on the sand. Other than that, it's no fun. The beach/swimming feature of the park was fun last year, but I'm afraid it's not the case this year.

Cute little area. Great place to visit. Has a little beach (unsupervised) and a small walking trail. There's a little play area that's inspired by the history of the area.

What's not to love about Ritchie Lake Park.It's a beautiful little oasis in Town. With convenient walking access from local streets, access via road for anyone that needs to drive in and a reasonably sized parking lot.The playground is good, there's a little beach and a walking trail, but the main selling point is the view across the lake.Plenty of other trails nearby allow you to get a decent walk in.Well maintained and worth a visit

Great spot for a short paddle around the lake. Many birds make their nests around here so it is prime for birdwatching. There's a sandy beach to launch from, adjacent to the small parking lot. A porta-potty is set up here in summer.

Ritchie Lake Park
Small, quiet little beach, water is grassy in the summer, yucky sand, lots of Canada geese to watch in the fall. The lake offers beautiful views of wildlife. You may even spot an eagle.
