St. Hedwig Parish

This time around I visited Parish to check on event organized byparishioners they called bazar".it was about food

A pretty good place for people to get together sharing similar beliefs. Funny enough to be writing this in 2019, but in the late 80's/early 90's I was an altar boy at this parish. I remember one time the late ks. Edward Mroczyński didn't like it when I wore my prescription glasses while playing Joseph in the Christmas nativity scene because Joseph didn't wear glasses, but seemed okay that Joseph was portrayed by a 14 year old boy. LOL. Anyway, I liked the place, it was where I grew up. I haven't been there in decades, but recall one other time when we were having some lessons in the hall under the church when the power went out. The emergency lights powered up and on my way home I found out it was a crash with a car hitting a hydro pole that disrupted the power to the neighbourhood.As a kid, I enjoyed going there. The place always appealed to me with a mysterious awe. As an adult I can't recommend it to anyone any more than I can recommend Witchcraft or wizardry, goblins or ghosts.The two stars? Because I have good memories there, but can't recommend it to others.

Beautiful church and a homely parish.

Beautiful church, my wife and I were married here, and my wife's family have been coming here for years. Polish Mass in the morning, but English mass starts at 9:30. Definitely an older crowd, but I would love to start seeing some younger faces show up.

Always freezing cold. Can't God take it up to 74 degrees?
