FVB Psychologists

Was reccomended by my doctor to go here, been going weekly, for months now, dont let the one star review of the place deter you away.. The wait list here is way shorter than other places, and yes sometimes people get sick and need to stay home from work which may back up their schedule slightly. My advice for the other person who reviewed if they ever see this again or if someone else is struggling is to call a free hotline for to talk to someone immediately. They can be found easiliy on Google.Back to my experience, Parking is a little crazy but thats understandable as they're in a big building, I park at the bank or just across the street at tim hortons. The lobby is nice providing refreshments (drinks) Wifi . All the girls at the front desk are sooo nice and I ALWAYS get a call reminding me of my appointment which is great as well. Its really refreshing going in there. And I always feel better after talking to Dr.Harris she is so sweet and makes makes me feel comfortable enough to talk about anything. Thank you all at FVB, you guys are amazing!

Dr. Balmer has seen both myself and my children through some of our darkest times. She met us at our most vulnerable, supported us throughout the lengthy and difficult fallout of a traumatic event, and has helped us figure out the coping skills that worked best for each of us. Most importantly, she has done so with compassion and humanity. She took the time to get to know us as individuals and is cognizant of the fact that there is no one size fits all approach to therapy. I have also met Dr. Fleming, and he was a tremendous help to a close friend of mine. To these psychologists, their patients are real people - not just names on a file. Sadly, this is all too often not the case with mental health professionals. It is extremely refreshing to find a group of psychologists who genuinely want to help people. If you or a loved one are in need of psychology services, this office is the place to call. If you have any doubts, read through their biographies, look at their credentials and the different programs with which they are involved. These people have literally committed their entire lives to this field. In my opinion, there is no better group of psychologists in the area.

Never got a chance to see if the doctors were good. First available appointment is 3 weeks out and they've called to delay the appointment twice. If someone is having mental issues, you need quick responsive help and these doctors are too busy.

Dr Balmer is excellent in response time and helped my family concern even during winter holidays. Thank you Doctor
