Where do I start...I've stayed at the Courtyard (by Marriott) many times. Only recently, in the past year, have I tried their co-located restaurant and bar; The Bistro.Normally I head downtown where all the action is. However, do yourself a favour... check this place out. The meals are excellent, wait staff excellent and the prices are very reasonable.The atmosphere can be cosy or noisy, depending on where you sit. If there was a patio, I'd give them give stars hands down.

Went for breakfast. Had to wait for a long time to get our order and the food was not impressed with the food. Also ordered an espresso on another occasion and was surprised how they managed to prepare a watery espresso, provided that they use an automated Starbucks machine.

I got the Buffalo fried chicken sandwich, is wasn't very crispy and I forgot it was fried chicken part way through. It did come with a side of fries that was good but I would get that again.

Excellent food, local beers, free parking IF you stop at the counter get a parking card then go back out to put it on your dash. The Muzak is the same as the hotel (where it's quiet and unobtrusive) but turned up in volume in the Bistro so much that it grates.

Ok I know hotel restaurants, bars and cafes don’t have the best reputation for a go to place for dining aside from the late night necessity.The Bistro at the Courtyard Marriott in Ottawa is not only one of the best hotel restaurants I’ve been to but one of the best restaurants period.I know it’s a chain and the food is supposed to be the same at all the bistros but my experience here has been amazing!The food is so good, fresh, portions are big and it’s fast.Service is ok could be improved a bit but I highly recommend coming here and trying the food!I have had the best Chicken Quesadillas here. I’ve tried the burgers which are fresh and not greasy.I’m eating the Spinache salad w chicken right now and it’s amazing! Properly dressed and perfect balance of ingredients!They must have taken great care in hiring a real chef to create and prep this food!I really can’t stop eating here and with all the upcoming food choices in Ottawa and growing culinary scene I just keep coming back!In short, highly recommended!Enjoy!

I've had two breakfasts now. They were included with the room. I was impressed both times. The first day was avacado toast, which came on a bread board and had big portions and flavor. Today I had ricotta and blueberry pancakes. They were light, fluffy and yummy. Definitely recommend coming here for breakfast.

The food was actually good but the service was incredibly bad. After we finished our meals we sat for over 25 minutes until we finally flagged down another server. We might have had desert or coffee but waited way too long. When we asked for a glass of water and our bulls the sever actually rolled her eyes. Unbelievably horrible service.

Dined in this restaurant some two months ago. A bit noisy since it is also a bar. But the food was really delicious. We ordered three dishes, all of them were excellent. We stayed in Hampton. There is a corridor connecting Marriot. Very convenient.
