Bow Hill Rest Area Southbound

It’s freshly mowed, they’re only half trying as they are mowing grass without picking up the trash = lots of new chopped up and dispersed pieces of trash on the grass.Bathrooms - hand blow dryers actually work quite well. The potty’s are porcelain instead of the metal ones that seem to be taking over a lot of rest areas, real mirrors, push button sinks to save water - but then you gotta push it three or four times, sinks are kinda small to rinse hands without having one’s hands come into contact with the sink.Parking: First few car spots are “1 Hour Only” next area is 4hrs and the last car parking spots are 8hrs. Plan accordingly if your a commercial driver.

Lovely rest stop, not much traffic noise. However, not everyone who stops in here is considerate! People yelling, sports cars blaring through revving up and smoking out for over an hour at 3 am. Hope that's not a constant thing for this and only on the night I was there.

Could be better, but this one gal has been there month after month with a sign panhandling for gas! Even has a table set up for donations!! All a scam I found out after talking with her!! Shame though!

This place was clean and easy to park my truck. Restrooms are right up the stairs and there's plenty of room to walk the dogs. This is a nice rest area.

This rest area is a perfect place to stop and recharge your energy. The restrooms are clean. There are also picnic tables on the grassy lawn with huge trees as shades. There is a pet area as well. And there are several parking spaces for cars, trucks and RV's. One more thing I like was the bulletin board which was full of informative items.

Clean ,and convenient and they gave us coffee
