Bear Ridge Cottages

Bear Ridge is a very friendly park. Seasonal campers are very friendly and proud of their park. We were provided a personalized tour of the park on the ridge. Our children loved the 3 playgrounds, basketball ball courts, pool, beach, the hours of play on the ridge and catching frogs!Beach isn’t far but is across a road. We lived in the lake. Bring water shoes as there is mucky bottom and some seaweed but otherwise it’s sandy. Weekends are busy but the weekdays were perfect. The store/restaurant has excellent food and ice cream!We stayed in two sites and the new cottage. Sites are spacious with trees. The new cottage is clean with a large fire pit area. We had a hot week so we appreciated the AC!The only faults were the public washrooms could of been maintained and the seasonal have a lot of bright lights that shine late into the night.

I have a trailer here. The food is good and there are fun activities to do like the parks, basketball court, pool, lake and volleyball court.

Stopped in for some butter tarts and decided to grab a poutine.PERFECT & GREAT FRIES!!!The 2 young ladies serving were also pleasant and courteous.Thank you!!!!5*****+

Ever since we stopped being able to stay at our family house on the lake, Bear Ridge has been the go to every summer for our family. Absolutely love staying here. Love hanging out at the beach and going kayaking as well. Thank you guys for keeping the place so awesome.

The staff are friendly, the park has large sites and the place is well treed. It is quiet at night (you can hear the loon on the lake). Nice beach and pool and above all the seasonal campers are SUPER nice and friendly! Just a great place all around

l will never recommend this place to anybody and I am not planning on returning. I rented a cottage here with my friends for what was suppose to be four days/three nights, which we booked a month prior.The morning of our third day, as we were getting breakfast ready outside, we were approached by the owner who “reminded” us that we only had an hour and a half to finish packing up for check-out time. We were extremely confused and went to the office to show past message exchanges and phone calls regarding the three night booking, however they still denied that we had booked three nights and that either way it didn’t matter because they had a family booked that afternoon to stay in the cottage.On top of this, the cottages were not only extremely dirty when we arrived, but we also had the lovely experience of finding mouse poop as we were packing up to leave.I highly suggest saving your money and going somewhere where, not only are the cottages nicer, but the staff are too.

We didn't stay there but stayed at a cottage nearby. The food, slushies, worms, and ice at the store were great. Ate way too many fries:-)

This review is long overdue. We visited the Bear Ridge in 2015 and rented one of the little cottages as we were visiting the area for the Tall Pines Rally. We were the only people in the entire park (well, it WAS November). We were met by a cheerful and helpful owner who let us know everything we needed to know and then left us be for our weekend. The cottage was a perfect, cozy little nook with a beautiful view of the lake. The heaters all worked perfectly, the place was clean, the bathroom very nice and kitchenette immensely helpful. We cooked a couple of full meals and had want for nothing. The beds are a bit small for a 6'3 dude but we managed fine. The park itself is very beautiful (for a trailer park, if you're not into that which we aren't) and we enjoyed taking a thorough look around. We are certain it must be gorgeous in the full foliage of the season. Anyway. We loved this place immensely, took many photos and would absolutely love to shack up here again. The beach also looks very nice considering it's size. Would like to see it in season. 11/10 highly recommended.

We just got back from our stay at bear ridge campground with our travel trailer. Wanted to write a review as we really enjoyed it here. Was nice and quiet just how we like it. Everyone seemed really nice. The owners tracie and her husband were really nice. We will definitely be back as this was our favourite private park to go to. Sites weren’t crammed and were very tidy. Also try the fries!!!!See you again soon!
