St John's Dixie Cemetery & Crematorium

Livestream link did not work on 2 occasions:I have attended this location for 2 funerals in person since Covid restrictions were in place. It is a very nice and spacious facility. However, on both occasions, the livestream link for the funeral did not work. This situation was distressing for both those who could not attend in person because of capacity limits/covid and to the grieving family members present in person. Luckily, some attendees quickly set up zoom calls or did live stream from other platforms from their own phones to reach a few people. If you are having your funeral here, I would suggest having a back up plan in place for live stream, as it appears the site/link set up by St. Johns is unreliable.

I had to recognize Carolyn for her outstanding support and empathy she showed my family yesterday evening. I have never met someone who is so genuinely kind, devoted, and passionate about the work that she does. Having attended other memorials in the past, I can honestly admit that her presence stuck with me and will for a while. She is a soul that dedicates her wisdom, knowledge and heart to her work. I enjoyed her helpful hints and ideas and her transparency as funeral director. She stayed late in the evening, well beyond the time we had allotted to us. Carolyn even offered to go and pick up my car and drive it around to the front. I cannot express my overwhelming gratitude and wanted to share a huge thanks to everything she did for us. Carolyn you are one amazing human. We appreciate all your kindness and sending you boundless amounts of love to you and your family as well.

Beautiful place and the staff make you better even in a time of loss. The price are the best in the GTA. I highly recommend anyone having to go through this process to come to them. You won't be putting yourself in debt and they work with you to find the best payment options.

I have been to quite a few Indian Hindu Services here. My experience has been nothing less than amazing. I would specially like to Thank Mr John for helping us with one of family member Mr Dileep Kulkarni and his funeral services last week.ohm shanti

As a funeral celebrant I am privileged to serve many families at different facilities around the Golden Horseshoe and I had one of the most wonderful experiences at this stunning facility today. I was able to work along side Cynthia to serve a lovely family and she and Harry made sure I felt like part of the team right away. Their prices were very reasonable but they very much respect their families with no hard sells or horrendous sales tactics that are done by large corporations. This facility is stunning with a bright open space and beautiful exposed wood beams. I would highly recommend this facility. Your family will be in great hands.

There is alot that can be done to make the cemetary look more presentable but the work that has been is is a great improvement. I hope that the clean up continues in the spring .Thank you for getting some of the work done.

Amazing and Professional organization! Words can't express my thoughts on John... amazing and compassionate man! Amazing staff! Beautiful facility! Thank you for making such a hard process in life seem effortless!

We had recently experienced the first death in our immediate family, so we had no knowledge in planning for services and the next steps. I am so thankful that a friend recommended this facility to us. John was beyond helpful and very patient and accommodating. Every little detail did not go unnoticed. The reverend that lead our service was wonderful, with a perfect sense of humour to lift our spirits. The facility itself is bright & airy, very peaceful…unlike the visions I had from movies! It was the perfect goodbye for my grandfather. I highly recommend.

As I had so much anxiety all 20 days over everything. Once I walk in cemetery very felt calm, very beautiful and peaceful. Very clean. I lost my husband so I didn't know what to do. But everything was very smooth by John who have affordable funeral services. Took care of everything, even when I was crying but wasn't from anxiety it was for my husband this time. Had very welcoming from John and facility. The priest was Irshad funny, made me laugh at the same time deep wisdom. Thank you for making it easier on people in this difficult time.

Nice place but under heavy construction .not very handicap accessable outside .The facility does have elevator for those that need it but 8ts narrow and not automatic .more like a freight elevator
