Circle Of Friends Childcare Centre Ltd

Cindy and Holly have been taking care of my daughter for over 3 years and son for over a year now. I absolutely love this daycare. Staff turnover is low in general but definitely in comparison to other centers which gives me comfort first because there’s consistency for my kids and second because it signifies to me that the staff are happy and valued, which translates to good caregivers. I will be very sad when the day comes that my daughter and son have to leave for kindergarten. Both kids love going and I know they are treated with love and respect. Thank you Circle of Friends!

The absolute worst experience! Day one they told me my son has Autism! He does not! And everyday after that for a few months I was told that. My son is very quiet, likes to read and kind of keeps to himself. His twin is the total opposite. This was the first time my twins were away from me and huge changes in their life have occurred. They just turned 3! Then I was told that my quiet twin needs a one on one person (I agreed, maybe he needs a bit more help with the transition) then I was told he needed speech therapy and occupational therapy because he colours with his left and his right and he should only use one! So I made my apt. The speech therapist and the occupational therapist said he definitely does not need it. And the daycare questioned it! I was also told if they were not 100% potty trained within a few days that they will get kicked out. And to take their soothers away! Done! I did that. Everything they asked we did. My one twin that they kept complaining about got sick with whatever nasty flu bug that was going around. I kept both of them home, the following week I thought he was on the mend and that week it was -24 outside with the windchill! They took all the kids outside! My guys froze! My one twin who they have issue with was upset and threw some toys and accidentally hit some kids (he does not have an aggressive bone in his tiny body) but they called me and I picked them up right away. The next day he did not want to go outside (it was -21 with the windchill) and they called me telling me if he does not put his jacket on they will take him outside without one! He was just recovering from being sick! The following week I find out he has pneumonia and I called and told the daycare that and they gave us his 30 days notice because he was aggressive! The one day he threw toys! Yes this daycare is cheap and we got in right away where every other daycare has a massive list! You have to wonder why this daycare has no waiting list! My little guy was under attack since day 1!

There are so many things about this daycare that make it excellent. The children are well supervised and the staff use guidance techniques that enable the children be self-confident and to think about their decisions then articulate what is a better choice they will make. On my visits, I noticed that the children get a large variety of interesting and fun activities for their social, physical, intellectual, creative and emotional development. With the supportive and enriching environment, children are articulate and interactive with healthy self esteems. On the down side, it was not a peanut free facility and since children bring all of their own food, there is a risk of being exposed to food allergens. The building is older so it doesn't look as shiny and new as other day-cares in town, but the high quality of the staff and program make up for it.
