Nice enough ships and decent viewing tours around the harbour, but do not expect decent customer service.Boats will be swapped out from tall sailing ships, to the harbour queen to their smallest ferry-like ship without notice or reason. Nor will anyone reply to your emails about such changes. There is no consistency in their tours. One may be fun and informative while your next exact same booking will have you sitting for 12+ minutes in still water with terrible speakers crackling out rock tunes in your ears. (Their speakers are AWFUL on every vessel.)Not really worth the $$$ but you don't have too many options.Sneaking a drink onto the transit ferry and going back and forth to Alderny, Halifax and Woodside stations on your transfer while self-educating yourself on local history is almost as good as most of what they offer.Harbour Hopper is a fun ride. Lots of info on the broken speakers, but the best overall deal this company offers.

I booked a tour to Peggy's cove through the website. The bus was comfortable and clean. The guide was perfect, he was talking and joking during the way. And the tour was very interesting with stunning views.

I loved the staff, storytelling and the boat in general and it would have been a great experience, however, someone in the staff was allowing people on the boat seemingly without tickets, about 25 people came on board and were talking and being disruptive through the storytelling, staff and customers were telling them to be quiet to no avail. I'm not sure why a staff member would have allowed entry, it seemed as though they had known eachother, But overall really impacted the experience.

Had a wedding on the Silva and the experience was amazing. The staff were able to calm any nerves on logistics of how things should go music wise or speeches. Highly recommend

We did quite a few tours through this company, however I would recommend doing the Peggy's cove tour through someone else or pay for a rental car for 24hrs...I think a rental would be a better experience for most. This tour we left 15mins late the tour guide" she was all over the place and not organized. Due to us leaving late we had only about 70mins to walk around

This company does not care about customers. They are the only tour company with a monopoly on the harbour. We booked a tour to George’s Island (24 hours in advance) after driving two days from Ontario. We arrived downtown Halifax, paid for parking and had a senior and a young child with us to make the trek to the boat. We arrived to check in 45 minutes prior and waited 20 minutes in line. When we arrived to the counter the CSR’s told us ‘oh ya..that’s not going today so you can go next Saturday’. I explained that’s a week later and we would not be here and why would you not have notified us after spending money on parking and the effort to bring young and old there ( not to mention a very sad 8 year old). I explained this ruined an entire day planned around it not to mention the frustration of so many missed steps of service. The girl said you will see a refund in 3 days or so. No offer to get another tour. No offer of a gift card or anything for all the inconvenience. I asked for the phone number of the person in charge and was given his number. I left a detailed message Tuesday after no answer Monday. I have still not received even a phone call from Dennis Campbell. I worked in service for many years and now even teach it and these people would not be working for me. Very disappointing so weigh your options carefully when planning activities on the waterfront with Ambassatours.

We did the Sivla sail boat excursion - it was so fun, what a great experience! Highly recommend for someone who's looking to get out on the water :)

We bought the flex ticket for the ferry ride to Georges Island and the admission to the island. The ferry ride was smooth and didn't take long. Took a few minutes to get to the island. We sat on the upper level of the ferry. Windy yes, but nice, unfiltered views. On the way back, we tried to sit on the first level of the ferry... But it was shaking way too much and had a bad smell. So, we moved back up to the second floor of the ferry, where it had no problems.Well, if you don't mind the wind, sit on the second level of the ferry. Luckily for us, we never had to use the lifejackets. Hopefully when you ride the ferry, you never need to use it too.

We had a lovely late afternoon cruise on the Silva tall ship on Canada Day. We learned some interesting history of Halifax harbour. The staff were friendly and courteous and eager to make our cruise enjoyable. The ship was clean and organized, bathrooms were exceptional.
