Elmira store... teen manager set up a a 900 Lumen exterior light shining directly at customers faces as they walk in. They have been asked all day to turn it off because the toddler at the cash told me as much, as it is blinding people. Their flat out answer? Ya. We know. NOT turning it off." Left store to drive to Home Depot and give the American conglomerate who understands how NOT to leave teenagers to run a store and being a-holes to the customers

Employees demanded to check my bag on the way out. A bag I only brought because they do not have them anymore. This was done immediately after spending 100$ on bike tubes and that employee WATCHING me put them in my bag. The best part is ONLY I was asked, despite everyone having their own bags. They were not allowed to touch my personal property. You profiled me, you insulted me, and you lost my business permanently.Shame on you.

Canadian Tire robbing customersI purchased a car battery and since I didn’t have the old one at time of purchase I was charged 20.00 plus tax.Upon returning the old battery I was refunded only the 20.00 but not the taxes.Great customer service

Worst Experience @ Canadian Tire - 400 Dundas, Oakville.Took my car for change and replacement of a ‘Starter’ - Inspite of my telling over the counter and explaining the issue to the Service Advisor - I was charged for Diagnostic +Labor+Parts.Sadly the diagnostic charge was not explained to me.Upon requesting a discount a Service Manager named Nirosh was rude and mentioned that I can go and complain to whomsoever and he does not care for loyalty or loyal customers. He clearly outright stated he was there to fleece the customers to make money for the store and I could go and complain to whom ever I wish to and that he does not care.Never seen a rude crude and arrogant Service Manager in an automobile industry ever.Wonder if his masters at Head Office are the same and he follows their Rude Customer device Policy!

Wanted to buy a fish finder at my local store , 50$ more than cabelas , asked about price matching as they have done for a number of years and they will no longer do it , guess they don’t need my business that bad , online ordering it is then , just wish I could rate them lower than one star , everytime they put something on sale they never stock the item . Horrible service

A tale of two Canadian Tire Stores. Store one, Fairview Street, Burlington. Took in a snow blower tire that needed attention. Handled by counter staff not even looking at the tire, but telling me to buy a new wheel and tire at approximately $150.Store two Highway 5 at Junction of Hwy 6, Waterdown. Young, very friendly person taking the wheel, applying sealer to both tire edges and inflating the tire. All done with smiles. Charge to me zero dollars. Guess which store I will be visiting again. Store 1, five minutes from my home or store 2 an almost 30 minute drive.

I have always had the ability to return anything purchased from Canadian tire without any issues of any kind.Recently I purchased bear spray and pepper spray but had to return the product. When I went to return the product the manager at the time then stated to me that these product are a final sale. This is news to me as nobody pointed this out when I went to purchase it or have it stated on the receipt. When this is something that is a rule with a business there should be signs everywhere as you enter the business and throughout the store and by all cashiers and self serve check outs. They even have to take down your id information where it should be stated on that document where you should have to place your signature so there is a clear understanding of this product. Not one person who worked for Canadian Tire even pointed this out to me making this purchase the most disappointing experience I have ever had with Canadian Tire.

The worst management, If l could give them 0 star I will. Each time I go to Canadian tire to fix something, it always goes wrong, and store managers are so rude, and none of them would take the responsablity and fix the problem to serve the customer for better result.I always hoping they can get better and improved. But each time I tried, each time they failed.

I’ve been a customer of Canadian tire for as long as I have been born . I own multiple businesses in Canada. I can’t even tell you how much I spend there with my personal accounts and business accounts . But I wanted to return something that I bought on Sunday and because I use my points which I accumulate just on my personal card over 4,000 per year (dollars). Because I use my points , they could not find it on the computer so the store told me to call the card company and get my rewards card number and of course. That is not an easy process. They have to mail it to me, which takes 10 to 15 days and they can’t give me the rewards number over the phone. But if I give them enough information, they’re allowed to discuss my financial information. I’m allowed to apply for a card on the phone makes no sense ( is getting points card privacy issue in Canada ?. I would love to talk to head office. Everything I say on this is correct which I can prove and I can prove all the accounts I have across Canada. And I’d like to explain my experience at the store, and with your customer service. It’s $200 I spent on a thermostat. I will keep it, but I will never step foot in a Canadian tire store again. Clearly their customer service has gone down.

Absolutely horrible experience dealing with Canadian Tire local store and Corporate office. Purchased a new Lawn Mower last season. It did not even last us the season. Machine stopped working late Fall. We have been to the Chatham store 5 times and given the run around. Still under warranty but no one repairs them in our area. Store manager never even returned our calls. Corporate office has gotten involved but even they stopped replying to us. Zero resolution provided after a month of emails, store visits, trips to manufacturers we were sent to that no longer repair Certified brand mowers. We will NEVER again purchase anything from Canadian Tire. Horrible support even when under warranty.
