Nice quaint place with river views. Food was really good. Very friendly staff. Salmon was delicious.

The Lockmaster's Taphouse and Patio
Food was very good. We all had something different and all of us were quite satisfied. Patio out back that looks over the Rideau River, downstream from the spillway. Watched a crane fishing for its lunch. Refreshing water sounds and a large outdoor bar (that wasn't staffed while we were there, perhaps on warm evenings). Service was as expected, friendly, prompt, accurate. Inside had an authentic historical atmosphere with small rooms, sloping floors, and exposed brick walls. Several TV's for sports viewing. Clean. I look forward to a return visit to the Taphouse and to Smiths Falls.

Me, wife and our 2 year old dined there had the strip steaks med rare cooked to perfection and the veg and potatoes where awesome very talented back of house and the server was amazing she was quick and prompt with the drinks and she made our very tired 2 year old smile so just great experience would highly recommend

Wonderful spot next to the falls. Wait staff is personable and fun. Food, all the times I have gone, has been quite tasty so would recommend try anything that strikes your fancy.Live music is a plus and not overwhelming to the meal.Prices and portions are reasonable and generous.

Really good food. I had steak which came with Yorkshire Pudding. We come from England which is where it comes from so a critical review here! It was absolutely spot on! It tasted like it had been home made. It was light and properly cooked. It is worth visiting this place on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday which is when they have steak night and you can get steak and Yorkshire Pudding (make sure to ask for some gravy to go with it as it does need it for the Yorkshire Pudding). Added bonus, we went on a Saturday night and they had live music on as well. The view of the river is also amazing as well.

A really nice place with good food and great service. Our waitress was very kind and helpful. The patio is excellent with a great view of the Rideau river and falls near downtown Smiths Falls.

I was told I'd need to rsvp to dine but was happy that when it slipped my mind, they said they could fit me and my partner in. Our waitress was nice and food came out in a decent amount of time. We got two items to share. The nachos were okay, the homemade chips were nice but they were overloaded with cheese, the salsa was lacking and just the dip portions were small. We then split a canneloni dish. It was really delicious! We came for the view which was beautiful. However $50 for one appetizer and one dish was a bit much. I'd recommend though for the service ans atmosphere. Do try the cannelonis if they're still on the menu!

Incredible food , fair prices and wonderful staff ! All so polite and welcoming , quick to check in and ensure you have all needed. Great place for a get together as well ! Will absolutely make it a regular stop!

The Lockmaster's Taphouse and Patio
Lovely atmosphere with antique and hewed weathered barn beams. Blackened Chicken and pesto chicken club were delicious. Kimchi dumplings were great and poutine as well. The fried cheese curds need to be served with creamy sauce like ranch. The Marinara doesn't go well with them.
