Zab Zaab Thai Cuisine

We were in town visiting with our baby and we were looking for a good but inexpensive dinner. We saw the high reviews of this place and it was close-by so we decided to try it out. And we were not disappointed.The inside is classy, service swift and polite, and most importantly the food is amazingly delicious. We started with the chicken wonton (good portions for the price though I wished they were cheese wontons as I prefer them better) and then shared the beef pad sew (saucy and so tasty if a little on the salty side), the chicken green curry (fantastic), with a side of jasmine rice (make sure to go for the coconut rice—it’s subtle but so delicious). We ended off with mango sticky rice to share which was nice and sweet but given mangoes are off season it was a little on the sour side.All in all, we left fully satisfied and talking fondly about the food on our walk back to our hotel with the rich flavours still dancing on our lips.NOTE: if you have a baby keep in mind they surprisingly did not have any high chairs. We ended up keeping our baby in his stroller where he happily slept.

So far the best mango sticky rice I had in Vancouver. Curry Salmon is not as tender, but curry tastes great. That’s why I give 4 stars.

We ordered Pad Ped and Green Chicken Curry, but the texture of the chicken was horrible. I couldn’t find the place authentic, and the flavors was not strong enough. I wouldn’t go back to try something else.

The food is perfection! We had the Tom Kha (coconut milk soup), the minced turkey lettuce wrap, the cashew chicken and the green papaya salad and everything tasted very authentic and super well seasoned. Portions were also really big and we were disappointed we were too full to try their mango sticky rice which looked absolutely delicious!

We ordered Cashew Chicken and Red Curry Beef from the lunch special menu. Lunch special menu items come with rice an a spring roll and are a great value for the price. We absolutely enjoyed our order. The staff were quick and attentive as well.

Highly recommend. I “ll come back for the comfort and yummy Thai food. The vibe is quite unique and impressive too~

Ok, I wouldn’t say this Thai food place is authentic but it doesn’t taste bad. The waitress was quite nice. The red curry is bit too sour and the Tom Yum soup was a bit too sour. In general you can try it out if you are around but it definitely isn’t the top tier Thai cuisine.

Very very good Thai food. Reasonable prices. Great service would go again. Highly recommended if you like Thai food.
