I've brought my big family here on short noticed and there was seating to seat my 19 family members right away and we all enjoyed n my steak was the best!!!! N mashed potatoes w gravy was so hot and enjoyable.. I got home and slept after supper and woke up at 223 am lol thx n we will be back again..

Great service and food, the portion sizes are quite large so bring your appetite. Although the interior seems fresh and a clean it does seem dated. The coffee is bland as well, not any better than what you can make at home anymore.

My only regret was not finding this place sooner! I was in town on business and had been skipping breakfast all week as there didn't appear to be anywhere to get a decent breakfast. I was wrong!!! Found Smitty's on my last morning in town and I couldn't have been happier. Great food, great atmosphere and, I believe her name was Wanda, gave excellent service.Next time I am in town I will be eating here for more than just breakfast.

Food is good, but other than that a poor experience overall.Waitress put our order wrong because she confused her self and us, AND charged us for it too!No one came around for drink refill either.The food we did end up with was still ok though.

We decided to try out the Smitty’s breakfast buffet and we were very impressed! My wife and I had the buffet and the kids ordered off the great value kids menu. Jenny was our server and was excellent! Great location nestled between Lowe’s and Walmart too. We will be back!

Smitty's Family Restaurant and Lounge
Disappointing. I'm new to Calgary and I wanted to find a nice family restaurant to go with my kids but the place was empty. The menu is very limited and the place looks a little run down. They tell me it's a breakfast or lunch place. It's certainly not a place I would go back to for dinner with the family.

Had breakfast on the weekend. Most food was mediocre at best, instead of two eggs, I received an egg and a half lol. One of the dishes was truly gross. The amount of yellow uncooked fat around the edges of the ham under the bennies was unreal. The medium

Smitty's Family Restaurant and Lounge
My mother and I go here every week. Wanda isn't just the wonderful lady that brings us or food she has become our friend. In fact all the service staff are FANTASTIC, we always feel welcomed. The food is always good, and I love watching the fish in their huge aquarium. It's a great place for kids because they have this amazing live aquarium they can watch.A huge thanks goes to the staff who always cook my steak the way I want (Chicago Well Done)

We had fish and chips and an egg breakfast for lunch and we were surprised how good they were compared with our last visit a couple of years ago. Bill was less than $40 including tip.The place has been renovated by the looks of it and it doesn't look tired like it used to.
