Captain Ron is the most un professional disrespectful person I have ever met. Acts like his age gives him a pass to treat people like garbage. Showed up at marina said I owed him an apology because your receptionist told me to call day off to schedule. He sat for 45 mins demanding an apology saying I quote “ now your gonna have to wait and I’ll cost you money” and ended up charging me for that time. Cost me 450$ for a 15 min tow from port Sidney to tulista boat launch. Plus the extra 500$ I had to pay for the haulers to wait for us to get there. Before we left basically bounced my boat of the ones in the marina having me run around and push off. The worst experience I’ve ever had giving any business my money. I would not ever recommend this sham of a company. The owner called with some hallow apology and still allowed this old man to treat me like trash and scam me for more than half screw my day completely and make the haulers have to charge more for the wait. -10/10 worst business on the planet

Do not use this service. They never came when we called even though we had our membership. Better off to save your money and use it to pay a friend to come get you.

My boat was stolen and washed up on a beach north of Nanaimo. I called C-Tow and they put me in contact with captain Evan. What can I say, service, Communication and ability was beyond what is expected of somebody. If your in the Nanaimo area and need something done, give these guys a call.

I signed up for a membership under the impression that I could use their services immediately, but I found out that's not possible and you would have to pay tow cost upfront on top of the membership fee. You really have to go digging through their FAQs to find this piece of information. It's not stated anywhere during registration. Fine!I asked to cancel the membership the following morning and later I find out that they only issued me a partial refund. Apparently, they said there's a $30 service charge on services never rendered! What a joke!Numerous calls to the company and it took a threat to file for a chargeback to get a callback just to laugh in my face and say go ahead.Well, they were right to laugh because my credit card company said it's not possible to file for a chargeback but my bank was able to step up and issue me the difference under goodwill. The saddest part of all this is that I would've signed up for their membership next year but not a chance in hell now. Rather swim back to shore.Accusing me of fraud? That's some real class and good business practices. There is no line of communication with your captain. Your staff initiates the call you moron! BCAA offers their services on initial sign up, so I assumed this was the same concept. I never disputed your fine print. Take some pointers from properly run businesses. You scam artist!

Buyer beware. C-Tow will not reimburse you any percentage of your membership should you sell your boat. Instead they suggest you get the new owners to take it over & pay you for it. This is in the fine print. I call this being really cheap

We had to use c-tow for the second time last weekend and I am so happy that we have a membership. The first time was for a tow that happens before our membership, this time as a member. Someone at Burrard marina had unplugged our boat from the shorepower resulting in our batteries becoming depleted and so the automatic bilge pumps were no longer functioning. James arrived promptly with pumps and got all the water out of the boat and averted what could have been a dangerous situation. C-TOW followed up the same evening to check everything was still ok with the boat. We are very happy with the service and so glad we took out membership last year. The peace of mind is priceless.

I am discussed with Ctow. They make up their own rules, and tried cancelling my membership for no reason.I called first time for battery jump. He came the next day, due to fog. He was impatient with charging battery, and said main office would flip out. He came from inner harbour, to Cadboro bay. Didn't stay to complete charge. Had info wrong on which was starting battery. No help.Next, my engine overheated at night, by Discovery island. I said I was on oak Bay side, drifting towards Port Angeles. He again came from inner harbour, taking a long time. He went on other side of island looking for me. Don't know why. Took hours.Next, my boat ran aground off Island View beach. Drifted off towards James Island. The Ctow from Sidney, said they went all around James Island, and it wasn't there. Well it was. Exactly where I said it went. Location was reported, but the guy said he was not going out again. They had spent enough money on me, and my membership was cancelled! There is unlimited battery charging and gas fill, and two tows. But I cost too much money, and was cut off. I phoned and asked for someone to help me with this problem, and was told there is no one. The captains" just laughed at me. I was appalled. I thought this was a reputable company. Then they sent a Christmas card

C-Tow is a great service. I've been a member for 5 or so years and yesterday had to use them for the first time. Though I had been told they were great by friends, this was my first time actually using the service. My friends were right, they are great. I will be happily paying my annual renewal from now on.I was coming back to Vancouver after spending the day crabbing at Gambier. When crossing the channel between Gambier and Bowen, we heard a bang and a puff of smoke came out of the engine compartment. The pump on the seawater cooling system had died. We could limp along for 15 minutes at a time before the engine would overheat and then had to wait 20 minutes for the temp to come back down. We called C-Tow and James headed toward us from False Creek. He tried to find someone closer in Gibsons, but they were out on a call. We limped into Columbine Bay and anchored on the lee side of Hood Point. It was starting to blow, so we started up the heater and waited for James. After a couple hours he made it to us and towed us back to Fisherman's Cove in West Van. There was a gale warning and it was pretty choppy so he took us right into the calm by the fuel dock before we fired up the engine and went to our slip. Thanks James. You were professional, courteous, as fast as could be expected and I'm sure you had something you would rather be doing on a Saturday night. Cheers, Steve.

I can’t say enough good things about our experience with the C-Tow team out of Powell River today. Jim and O turned what started as a stressful day into an incredibly smooth rescue with positive, friendly attitudes on top. The entire experience was positive - from showing up quickly and prepared with equipment to jumping into the water, and assisting us in all ways needed. They were absolutely heaven-sent. I am so thankful for their company and helpful energy during a day full of pivots and new experiences. This company has a good thing going. Well done and thank you, thank you, thank you. We will be getting a membership immediately. Everyone should have a membership. It’s a no-brainer.

So far so good. I haven't needed a tow yet, and my bank keeps cancelling the payment as suspected fraud". That said
