Delicious afghan restaurant in the heart of Vancouver. The service was great, and the food was delicious with the majority vegan options. The chai soy tea was tremendous as well. Well worth the price

I came here with my friends for the lunch buffet and it was so good! Every single item on the buffet menu was mouth watering. I love the small portions so that you can try a few more different others. Service and ambience was fantastic!

A delicious and beautiful symphony of flavour. Many vegetarian dishes and the Chai was divine. My only small suggestion would be to add comfier chairs, the small wood chair I was seated on was very uncomfortable. The food and live music more than made up for it though!

Talk about ambiance, great food and drinks - and when combined with good friends - East is East West Broadway is a must-go-to place. The Chai Feast at $39 per person is expensive but well worth it for the diversity and quantity that you can have for your taste buds. I think I was quite hungry and went for at least four rounds of dishes. Each dish has about one or two bites each, but when combined with an assortment of salad and soups and dips it makes for a great meal. There was live music too, a violinist playing classical and contemporary songs (the theme song from the Godfather and Hotel California by the Eagles) at $3 a person - not free, but it added so much to the relaxing cool and intimate atmosphere. With drinks and dessert expect around $200 for four people including a mandatory gratuity as we had eight people in our party. Enjoy!

The restaurant is amazing. I liked the variety in the choice of food. Variety and taste many dishes in moderate quantities. The decor of the restaurant is very beautiful. Really good choice. The waitresses are very welcoming and friendly.

My family and I had a really good experience at East Is East. The feast platter is an “all you can eat” experience. The Mango chicken was my favourite. The design was beautiful and somehow authentic. The only downside was the hygiene aspect of the washrooms, which I’d suggest the managers to be more careful of.

Amazing restaurant decor and vibe. The Chai feast is always a great way to try many flavours. Staff were attentive and quick. So tasty. Always good! Fun place for a group dinner. Live music (they add $3 for donation for the musicians).

Atmosphere and decor made for a lovely experience. Highly recommend the Chai Feast all you can eat menu, which is a great value for the chance to try a little bit of everything. When you’re seated at your table you’re treated to do a phenomenal chai tea, it was so good I had to take a second cup to go.

Very beautiful and exotic place. You can try every dish and most of dishes were pretty good with tiny portion. Just some of them were only warm but I liked fresh hot food. Lovely expensive still
