This service and company is the worst service ever! If there was a option to rate them a zero, I would have. I’ve been with them for a little while and just recently I’ve been having a lot of the same issues that have not been resolved, even with multiple techs coming out. There’s always glitches happening, and they never have a reason behind it besides it may be the internet. When we’re talking about security, there’s zero room for error! So when I tried to get out of my contract, because this service isn’t working they told me I owed 1000 bucks. If this was working and the problem was resolved, I wouldn't have to leave this company! Just trying to get any kind of money out of you. Warning all to Stay far away from this company.

Absolutely terrible experience. Had a new alarm system installed in January and had nothing but problems. Both installers that showed up had less than 6 months experience and could not hook up the system properly. Could not set the alarm to away mode because it was always going off because the sensors weren't wired properly. Also they did a poor job installing the defective smoke detectors, which I had to take another day off from work to wait for a technician all day to replace the smoke detectors. The 3rd technician again had 4 weeks experience but was at least more knowledgable than the first two. Within 3 days of having it installed I had them come back and take their system because it was not working. Worst experience I have ever encountered. The lack of experience and incompetence was ridiculous. PLEASE save your money and time and go with an experienced local company, this was an absolute joke

Nothing but difficulty with this service. They took a work number (from which I happened return a call to a salesperson and which I never gave to anyone, because I knew it wasn't a permanent number) and decided that was my home phone number and attached it to my account without asking me (and ignoring the actual home number I gave them).Installation was delayed a number of times, so the service was not actually in place until more than a month after I signed the contract. The installation itself went relatively smoothly, except the installer deleted my garage door remote code while programming the smart garage door opener.The customer service agents I've spoken to (about 4 since the start of this) have either just inept or inept and rude. I have worked at a call centre and know it's a tough job; but that does not excuse treating the customers poorly. I was told by a salesperson that I qualified for 3 free months for signing up before a deadline in August, but it was never added to my account. When I called an agent to ask why I had been billed for the first 3 months they told me that their manager would have to talk to the salesperson first before adding the credit to my account. I said that was fine, but 3 weeks later and it still hasn't been done. They just need to call or email the person and verify that he told me what he did (I have it in an email too). I had to speak to a second agent who was not able to resolve it either; he told me he'd make a note and that I had to call back *again* just to verify it has been done. I'm certain that when I call again it will not be resolved yet.I assumed because Telus owns this company now that they'd have their act together. I was wrong. I strongly recommend avoiding ADT if you're shopping for home security. Had I not signed a 3 year contract I'd have cancelled my service weeks ago. Once that contract is up I'm switching as fast as possible.

We moved into a home that already has an ADT console and system in it. It began going off at 5am despite not being armed, when I at last found ADTs 24/7 number they told me they couldn’t do anything at all . I asked if they could send a tech to re-set/re-install it so we could actually use it. They said no . We’d gladly pay them to do whatever it takes to solve the issue but ADT will fully do absolutely nothing . Horrible company that has left us in a terrible spot.

I have had a ADT alarm system at my house for 12 years now and I have generally been very pleased we everything. Trying to call them can be nightmare you have to wait in the queue which can be anywhere from 2 minutes to 3 hours, even to pay a bill !!! If you please. However I what to say a word about Doorbell Cameras. They are a brilliant invention but I think they are a bit before there time as the internet / WiFi in Canada is not strong enough. In my experience with a Doorbell Camera it was so slow in connecting that the Delivery guy was well on to his next delivery by time my Doorbell Camera had made any attempt to connect to my phone. So after trying it for a few months I gave up due to poor connection problems. I threw it away in the garbage. I have since added a outdoor camera above my front door and have never looked back. Get notified before the guy even gets out of his van that there is someone approaching the front door. I have since added 3 more outdoor cameras with no connection problems what so ever. Otherwise ADT Canada is not bad but I wish they would get there sales people up to speed with what alarm.com is doing such as the water valves. I have left one star but if I could I would leave no stars !!!!!

TelusADT: Had a tech come out for a sensor that has been acting up. Came by and my mother was home. My mother stated the tech to be quite rude and disrespectful. Whe I called to report the concern the customer service rep was nice and understanding (hence the 2nd star). However, I have not received any follow up since and on top of it, the tech did a poor job. You would think this is not a service that we pay for. Upset and annoyed. Really need to re-think this contract.

The lowest amount of stars I can give. The worst part is, I can't even tell you how bad their actual install or services are because they didn't even bother to show up! I spent over an hour on the phone on hold and talking to people I can barely understand, multiple texts throughout the weekend to confirm the install appointment, only to have nothing happen. And when I mean nothing, I really do mean NOTHING. I received no calls to say where the installer even went, and when I call Telus, another hour on hold, they seemd to have no clue as to why they didn't show up. If this is the kind of service I was going to get, I'm thankful this happened, because I dodged a serious bullet with their unprofessional conduct. This is my home and family, why would I possible trust it to people who can't even show up to install the system, let alone monitor it,PLEASE! Don't trust your family to people like this.

Been an ADT customer for 17 years. Told on three occasions within 10 days to expect a call back within 24-48 hours regarding an upgrade to existing services. No response. During last call requested to speak to a manager. Got the industry standard call centre runaround and ended up speaking to another sales rep who promised to escalate" - my previous call was "escalated" and no response. What a joke. ADT can't even MEET their customers needs. Goodbye ADT."

ADT is the worst home monitoring company out there. I signed up 2.5 years ago and they promised the equipment sent will be new - it was old fashion dial in model. Got a SIM issue and this system keeps ringing by error. Technicians never sorted the problem. Ended up trashing it and still stuck with the bill for the full 3 years contract. I HATE ADT. I finally cancelled after 2 years and 9 months, and they STILL sent me a $100+ invoice. Please read my other review - I rarely give 1 star.
