WM - Calgary Bin Rental & Transfer Station

Called to order a bin for a job site that would be placed in a short term rental yard for 4-6 month period. They directed us to their website to book the bin and in doing this it signs you up for a year contract. Tried to cancel the bin and have it removed and now you have to jump through hoops, send in a registered letter requesting cancellation, then it takes 90 days from the cancellation notice to have the bin removed and they are still going to charge out 6 months as liquidated damages, plus bin removal fees. Don't waste your time or money trying to deal with these scam artists.

Worst prices, customer service, and contracts. READ 1 full page of fine prints. 4 yard bin costs you about 400 a Month. Lock fees is extra $25/invoice . Fuel surcharge $140 .5 star review below are from employees please read all reviews.

Do you like being taken advantage of, talking to condescending people, wasting obsene amounts of money and being forced into repetitive contracts??? If so, this is the place for you to do business with. They make it near impossible to cancel said repetitive contracts so, make sure you have a lot of spare time to make phone calls, write a letter and deliver it (which they want proof of) so certified mail $$ or hand delivered (all of the doors are locked and the phone at the front door doesn't actually call anybody). I feel that they should supply their customers with Tylenol with the customer service and experience they provide. What a headache!

The drivers who service our child care are exceptional and go that extra mile to take away all our extra cardboard that accumulates from frequent grocery deliveries! We appreciate it very much.

Happy with the service and drivers. If I have a complaint, the garbage pickup drive does not lock the bin after lift up.Otherwise, I'm happy with the service.

Great Service, I have been working with Account Manager Jody F. from Calgary for years. She is professional, always helpful when I call for either service or a proposal. One of the best managers I’ve dealt with in years and that makes this company a great option. I would definitely recommend WM.

I had scheduled dumps of my bin, i was supposed to have 3 swaps/dumps per day, which i confirmed when i made the scheduled swaps/dumps. When i called in after the bin was not picked up, i was told it was not on WM's schedule. This resulted in me having to pay my employees for the day and sending them home as there was no work. I cannot count my losses this caused, and nothing was done or offered, aside from the next available date which left me thinking if WM was reliable as they had issues with my scheduled swaps. I havent been provided a credit for my losses which came from my own pocket, despite this being WM fault.I am still awaiting a response to my email which was sent to WM cares over 4 weeks ago, you should change your email to WM could care less!!

Waste Management company is a money grabbing company, and a Real WASTE itself ! they keep increase the price without your consent and when inquired about it, each rep will give you different reason for it. Service is poor for the money you pay; they keep change the collection days and the driver does not come down to push the unlocked gate and claims the gate is locked, and comes back few days later to collect and charge you double. It's very difficult to get hold of the account managers via phone and emails. They promise you someone will call back but they never do, it goes around in a circle. Way to expensive with poor service. Very difficult to deal with and to cancel your contract! Shop around, there are many competitive companies with better price and good service.

The Calgary management is very poor. Their driver has so much power not to pick up in winter. All they need to say is Weather delay". They did not come pick up a month already.You want them to come again
